Die Rc-base ist mit horizontalen Carbon-Elementen mit unterschiedlichen Querschnitten ausgestattet, um die verschiedenen Auflagebereiche je nach Bedarf an Steifigkeit oder Flexibilität zu variieren. So hat beispielsweise der hintere Bereich abgeflachte Formen, um eine gleichmäßigere Steifigkeit im Teil des Sattels zu gewährleisten, der stärkeren Belastungen ausgesetzt ist, während sich vorne die beiden Trägerarme zu einem einzigen Strukturelement verbinden und eine große Auflagefläche bieten, die es ermöglicht, den Sattel über die gesamte Länge zu nutzen.
Repente hat ISSG (Integrated Shell Side Guards) erfunden, den seitlich hervorstehenden Rand der Rc-Base, der den Sattelbezug vor Abrieb schützt.
