Zwei Fische - eine Mutter mit ihrem Kleinen - sind eine Ergänzung aus der Tierwelt für die fröhliche Familie von Alexander Girards Wooden Dolls. Horizontal ausgerichtet stechen sie aus der grossen Gruppe der sonst stehenden Körper heraus.
Die Wooden Dolls von Alexander Girard sind eine grosse Familie von Holzfiguren, die menschliche und tierische Charaktere darstellen. Girard hat sie im Jahr 1952 ursprünglich selber für die Dekoration seines Hauses in Santa Fe hergestellt. Diese Originale befinden sich in Girards Nachlass im Vitra Design Museum und stehen Pate für die aktuelle Re-Edition: Originalgetreu werden die vielen verschiedenen Wooden Dolls auch heute noch – wie die ersten von Alexander Girard – von Hand hergestellt und bemalt. Und auch wenn die Unterschiede nur ganz fein sind: Faktisch ist jede Holzfigur ein einmaliges, individuelles Exemplar, das es genau so nur einmal gibt.

Love these shoes, they're super comfy. Laces stayed tied all day. I wear them in a business casual environment, or if I'm going out for a nice meal with my wife. They look good, the color is unassuming and neutral. they also elevate my height, I feel like it gives me an inch or so more versus regular shoes. This is my second pair!
