In The Green Neck System, Gabriel Werlen teaches you an amazing principle that you'll be able to use to perform a whole host of stunning magic and mentalism routines.

You'll have a wide range of effects at your disposal, some impromptu, others prop-based. You'll be able to use them in both close-up performances and stage shows, with some even working long-distance (perfect for when you want to perform for someone over the phone).

A vast array of plots are given the Green Neck treatment - from 'Which hand?' effects to pseudo-psychometry and muscle-reading demonstrations, via 'Bank Night' routines, chair tests, Russian-roulette effects, divinations, predictions and a wealth of other presentations...

Best of all, the Green Neck System is intriguingly simple, and doesn't require your spectators to follow any complex instructions or elaborate procedures.

Over the course of more than two hundred pages, Gabriel Werlen offers you a detailed explanation of the revolutionary new method that he's spent the last ten years refining and building upon, after taking an idea from Bob Hummer as his starting point. He reveals how he discovered the System and guides you through its basic features. He explains how it works before giving you thirteen full routines that incorporate the System into a variety of plots.

The principle was enough to make Gaëtan Bloom a devoted fan of Gabriel Werlen's work, as he readily admits himself:

"This book is a truly comprehensive study - over two hundred pages long - and it comes at a time when people are quick to publish PDFs of their ideas as soon as they stumble on a minor variation of something. This is much more meaningful than that!
"When I started reading, I had my doubts about what new insights Gabriel could have discovered, fearing that a Bob Hummer principle that I've long been a fan of would end up being massively watered down. I was soon enchanted by the strange and oh-so-subtle intricacies of the various routines he describes.
"The first effect whets our appetites... The table is set. The rest of the book is like a many-layered onion... One that makes us cry with happiness! Slowly but surely, nuggets and new nuances follow, with telephone and stage effects all breaking new magical ground. The technique for openly marking objects from a distance is diabolical, as is the idea of pairing objects with one another...
"I don't want to say anything else... If you're a fan of subtlety, you'll wolf down every page... Each one is full of mysteries, and is as fun and rewarding to explore as the clues to a fine cryptic crossword...
"My only regret is that Bob Hummer wasn't able to read this book - I'm sure he would've loved it! I've no doubt that Annemann, too, would've thoroughly enjoyed all these new developments."

- Gaëtan Bloom

Routines explained include...

  • Setting the Table: A completely impromptu effect, whereby a spectator merely thinks of one of several objects, and the performer divines that exact object perfectly!
  • At the Bar: The performer repeatedly identifies under which cup a spectator has hidden a paper ball. He finishes by explaining that he's going to influence his volunteer for the last round of the game, and proves it by predicting the cup under which she hides the ball.
  • Poison: A Russian-roulette effect in which a glass of bleach has been mixed amongst glasses of drinking water.
  • Breathalyzed: A 'PK taste' routine in which the performer is able to sense the exact drinks his volunteer is tasting.
  • Mister Misfortune: A chair test with a bad-luck premise and a thrilling final twist.
  • Fantasia in F Minor: The performer determines which of two spectators' hands is concealing a coin.
  • Basic Instinct: The performer subjects several spectators to a lie-detection test, and afterwards reveals a celebrity that is in one of the spectators' minds.

Many other effects are explained, included a stunning version of 'Bank Night' and an incredible coincidence routine that shows how much in love is a couple from your audience.

Perfect for sensitive skin
Style: SPF 50 Lotion, Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I love this sunscreen. This was my first time buying after always using another company but recently my skin has started breaking out after using my old sunscreen. This sunscreen not only protects my skin but also does not give me a rash or irritate my skin.

This stuff WORKS.
Style: SPF 50 Lotion, Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I am pale, I have rosacea, and I live in the south. That is a terrible combination. But this sunscreen has saved my butt (well, actually it’s saved my face). It doesn’t sting at, and when I accidentally got it into my mouth it didn’t leave a weird aftertaste (I smear it over my lips). This is my first mineral sunscreen, so I can only compare it to chemical sunscreens. But so far I think it lasts longer (and holds up to sweat better) than any other sunscreen I’ve used. It even survived a day at the water park with minimal reapplication. Now I will be honest, it leaves a white cast. But I don’t even bother trying to rub it all the way in. I just go out looking like Casper the Friendly Ghost. (Also it scored well on consumer reports, but the baby version scored even better, so I think I’ll try that next)

Works Great, soothing
Style: SPF 50 Lotion, Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This is the best sunscreen I’ve used. I’m fair and after some chemical peels needed extra protection. This sunscreen is soothing and works perfectly. Blocked me from any sun damage and I live in a very sunny location by the ocean.

Zinc Oxide Sunscreen is the best choice!
Style: SPF 50 Lotion, Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I’m happy I decided on Coppertone Pure & Simple Zinc Oxide Sunscreen. The 6 ounce bottle is well worth the price as a little goes a long way. I always give the bottle a good shake before applying it. This was the first year I sought out all zinc oxide sunscreens. I wanted to avoid the bad ingredients in regular sunscreens I’ve used in the past. This is free of octinoxate & oxybenzone which are the 2 main bad ingredients in most sunscreens. This pure & simple sunscreen is free of PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid) which is an ingredient you should avoid in the interest of protecting your overall well-being. It’s also parabens, dye & fragrance free. I like the 50 SPF. I did some research on what it’s a good SPF to look for. This is what I learned: “SPF50 will last 2 hours in the sun. It should protect you 50 times as long as your skin would be able to naturally protect itself. However, remember that the lower the SPF and longer the length of time since application, the less UVB rays will be filtered so a reapplication every two hours is highly recommended.” Another great feature this sunscreen has is the active ingredient of zinc oxide is at 24.08%. I didn’t know what that meant so again I researched it. This is what I learned: “It’s recommended looking for a sunscreen label for a zinc oxide concentration of 20-25% for best protection from UVA and UVB rays.” So thumbs up on everything this Coppertone Pure & Simple sunscreen offers. Be careful as it comes out a little watery quickly but it rubs nicely onto my skin & is absorbed immediately. There’s no residue or white cast look to it period. Yesterday I worked outside for 5 hours. I took a couple breaks & did reapply after 2 hours. I didn’t burn period. This sunscreen kept my skin safe. I also decided to apply it to my face because I had it handy with me outside & my face sunscreen was in the house. This was lightweight on my face & didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I feel it could easily be used as a facial sunscreen. So many positives I’ve found with this sunscreen! I most definitely recommend it!
