Three of the brightest stars of historical romance invite you to a party at the country home of the Honorable Marquess of FinchleyHugh Dunne, the Earl of Briarly, needs a wife, so his sister hands him a list of delectable damsels and promises to invite them— and a few other gentlemen—to her country house for what is sure to be the event of the season.Hugh will have time to woo whichever lady he most desires . . . Unless someone else snatches her first. The invitation list includes:The horse-mad but irresistibly handsome Earl of BriarlyThe always outspoken Miss Katherine PeytonThe dashing war hero Captain Neill OakesThe impossibly beautiful (and painfully shy) Miss Gwendolyn PassmoreThe terribly eligible new Earl of ChartersThe widowed Lady Georgina Sorrell (who has no plans to marry, ever)And your hostess, Lady Carolyn Finchley, an irrepressible matchmaker who plans to find the lady most likely . . . to capture her brother’s untamed heart.Publishers WeeklyThis charming, lighthearted Regency, written in three parts by bestsellers Quinn (Ten Things I Love About You), James (A Kiss at Midnight), and Brockway (The Golden Season), delivers wit and heart with every page. Lady Carolyn Finchley hosts a house party to find a match for her horse-mad brother, Hugh Dunne, earl of Briarly. Hugh (who compares the season's top debutante to the "one foal that everyone thinks will breed a winner") and two other exceedingly eligible gents mingle with Miss Gwendolyn Passmore, who conceals awkwardness with arrogance; the straight-speaking Miss Katherine Peyton; and Hugh's recently widowed childhood friend Lady Georgina Sorrell. The romance's cheerful tone and key plot points carry through seamlessly as each author takes the reins, making three matches for the price of one. (Jan.)

Why are these books so hard to find in libraries and bookstores??!
Format: Paperback
Bought nearly the whole book series after reading the reviews. My 8 and 10 year old boys love these books. My 10 year old read the first book on his way to and from soccer practice. He couldn't put it down and kept telling me what he read. My boys have read all the "Magic Treehouse", "I Survived" and some "I Escaped" books, as well as "Big Nate", "Diary of a Wimpy Kid", etc. BUT these battle books are the best. They really teach about the history of the wars which have shaped our modern times. WHY are these books so hard to find in libraries and bookstores... at least in Maryland? Maybe because "Great Battles for Boys" reeks of toxic masculinity? I really wonder. In any case, great books especially if you want your boys to read serious, informative books that are interesting and entertaining.

Great for boys AND MOMS
Format: Paperback
Saw an ad for the series online and wanted to buy just one book to try. Received with 2 day Prime. Book was new. So, not only does this book have an incredible, intriguing story that sucked in my 10 year old who hates reading and struggles to read, it had me at Hello. The beginning of the book is filled with recipes! Was totally not expecting that! So for this Momma, under promise-over deliver was the theme here. Purchasing the rest of the books! Also look online for worksheets that parents have put together to go along with these books. Totally worth it. Happy Reading! AND Cooking!

Great reads for all levels
Format: Paperback
I bought 2 for a 6th grade boy I tutor. He has a beginning interest in history. He's been 'eating' these books up! These are well written, but not complex to turn a young reader off. There are many alternative resources to listed to dive into if a particular person or event sparks interest with the reader. There is appropriate vocabulary with explanations on some- others open a chance for my student & I to have a deeper discussion to clarify meaning & connect information.

Great book for an (almost) 11 year old to learn about WW2
Format: Paperback
My (almost) 11 year old says he enjoyed this book because it gives specific details and has pictures of what was going on making it easy to understand what was happening. The only thing he’d change was that the pictures weren’t in color (lol)!
