Designed and built to provide "true" broadcast-quality HDTV digital video signal routing capabilities, Canarie introduces its 20DV 2x20 Digital Video Patchbay into the professional arena. It combines unsurpassed clarity and signal reliability with the ability to pass uncompressed HD-SDI 1080p video signals up to an amazing 3Gbps. Its rugged 1RU design houses (20) DVJB-W 75 Ohm dual video jacks that are each configured with an independently developed rotary switch, which offer a dual-contact construction for improved contact stability. Specifically designed for use with high frequency signals, these jacks provide superior signal isolation and can double as a digital audio AES/EBU patching solution. Moreover, each DVJB-W jack offers "normal through" signal routing that provides a normalled route between top and bottom jacks - and it utilizes VPC series patch cords.

Aside from its lightweight aluminum alloy construction, the overall video signal characteristics and Return Loss and Isolation specifications of the Canarie 20DV intrinsically meet the high demands of high profile broadcast operations often required by HDTV/SDTV studios, digital mobile units, OB vans, uplink trucks, edit suites, or a variety of corporate and commercial video applications.

Supports 3G-Ready HD-SDI Signals
This cost effective high-performance 75 Ohm video patch bay allows high-resolution HDTV digital video signals to pass through. It supports uncompressed 3G-Ready HD-SDI digital signals (SMPTE 424M Standard) and can double as a digital audio AES/EBU patchbay.
DVJB-W 75 Ohm Dual Video Jacks
Built into the DV20 are (20) DVJB-W 75 Ohm dual video jacks that offer Normal Through signal path technology for your specific routing requirements. It features BNC-BNC: Normal Through, BNC-VIDEO: Patch Through and BNC-Self Termination capabilities and a Return Loss as follows: 26dB or greater @ 750MHz, 20dB or greater @ 2.4GHz and 10dB or greater @ 3.0GHz. In addition, it features a lightweight aluminum alloy construction and Beryllium copper, gold-plated center contacts.
Rotary Switch Technology
Each video jack is specifically designed for use with high-frequency signals. It incorporates an independently-developed rotary switch, which provides superior signal isolation (35dB or greater @ 750MHz and 20dB or greater @ 3.0GHz) and utilizes dual contact construction for improved contact stability.
Versatility
The side rack ears can be adjusted to recess the front panel of the unit up to 25mm deeper into the rack.

Dr. G.
Format: Paperback
Jesse Graves (a.k.a. "Dr. G.") is one of my professors at East Tennessee State University. Not only is he a great teacher, he is a very talented poet. I would recommend his work to anyone! Anyone that does not like his work probably just failed his class. :p

Incredibly Prescient -- Touches On The Major Trends Of Our Times
Format: Hardcover
I was blown away by the fact that the author started writing this book a couple of years ago, before artificial intelligence was in the news, and before the topic and trend of loneliness became so prevalent. The clairvoyance is uncanny and the storyline, while fictional, is totally believable given what's going on in our world today. This is why the novel almost reads like nonfiction, but the plotline carries you forward like a fictional thriller. I audibly gasped, "Holy crap" during the plot twist at the end of the book. Truly a work of art, there is no doubt that this will be adapted for either a movie or a series.

Deeply human, yet visionary
Format: Kindle
This book takes a thoughtful approach to the notion of loneliness in the faces of AI and the many robotic companions already in development or on the market.

Compelling story, beautifully written
Format: Kindle
Loneliness & Company was a fantastic read. In a truly novel take and an incredibly fun read, Charlee Dyroff confronts both the growing endemic of loneliness and the looming threat of AI, pushing us subtly to think deeply and thoughtfully about the implications of both. More than that though, Loneliness & Company is beautifully written, populated by great characters and is driven forward with a compelling, narrative. Its the first book in a very long while that I couldn't wait to get back to. Definitely would give this my strongest recommendation.

3.5
Format: Hardcover
This is a smart book, an interesting book but it was hard for me to read as the style was more technical/detached than i like. It worked for the story but not for the kind of reader I am. It is worth the read though despite this 3.5
