Our filter is a reusable unit which can be used repeatedly if it’s thoroughly cleaned at each oil change. It will last the lifetime of the vehicle and repeatedly protect the engine just as it did when new. However, proper cleaning is not necessarily a DIY job, as it requires the use of a suitable solvent to break down the old oil, and cleaning from the inside out with compressed air to remove any risk of debris remaining. If you have any doubts about this, we recommend visiting one of our authorised dealers for fitting or servicing.
It makes sense to purchase two of our lifetime filters, that way you always have one in cycle, ready to install into your vehicle. You can then spend the time to properly clean the spare filter in preparation for the next oil service.
