With this technology, a printer directly applies the ink onto a product with inkjet technology. Its sort of like printing on paper, except on a t shirt or hoodie. The DTG process uses eco friendly nontoxic "water based" inks, which are absorbed by the fibers of the garment.

This TShirt uses DTG printing technology (Direct-to-Garment). With this technology, a printer directly applies the ink onto a product with inkjet technology. It’s sort of like printing on paper, except on a t-shirt or hoodie. The DTG process uses eco-friendly nontoxic "water-based" inks, which are absorbed by the fibers of the garment.
Due to the combination of water based inks along with the fabric density & fabric content of different products, the print opaqueness (not able to be seen through; not transparent) will vary from product to product. Because the water based ink is "absorbed" by the fabric, the resulting printed graphic will have a faded/vintage look. While we think this is a cool "lived-in" effect, it may not be ideal for you if you prefer a super opaque printed outcome on the products you wish to order.
