GALA ハイチェア人気商品の製造工程上で生まれる端材をつなぎ合わせたら、新しいプロダクトが生まれました。木の厚みが心地よく身体を支える、不思議と安心感のある座り心地です。背にはヌメ革のハンドル付き。真鍮ねじとともに、使い込むうちにヴィンテージの風合いを帯びていきます。
座面は、パイン無垢材に木目を掘り起こす「うづくり加工」を施し、さらに傷やなぐり、虫穴などを付けたり、塗装の剥がしやぼかしといった「ディストレッシング加工」を施すことで、アンティーク品のような風合いに仕上げられています。豊富な色展開ながら、いくつもの色を組み合わせても柔らかく馴染みます。

Time will tell
I’m always weary about how little or how much I spend on wiper blades. Typically wiper blades are a great example of you get what you pay for. When I’m looking to replace blades, though, I’ll often try and see what’s out there before I go spend $25 a piece on wipers. I came across these and they’re highly praised and so I figured why not. I cannot speak on their durability and longevity, but I can comment on my experience with them so far.
These are plastic blades. Keep that in mind. They are not heavy or rigid like a metal blade, but also don’t feel super cheap either. The quality of plastic seems adequate for what these things cost. Install is easy, and shouldn’t take more than a few minutes. What I’m very impressed with is how clean of a wipe it makes. They don’t leave anything behind and I haven’t experienced any chatter. I don’t expect these to last as long as premium blades, but I also don’t make gamble purchases like this expecting unrealistic results. If they do happen to have a decent lifespan, then it’s a pleasant surprise and a great value.
