Teenage Fan club's MAN-MADE is August installment in the Merge Records 25th anniversary reissue series. Originally released in 2005, MAN-MADE is a classic Fan club record in tone and arrangement, and handsomely demonstrates the 'less is more' maxim-it is both airier and more light of touch than it's immediate predecessors. Teenage Fan club made the record in Chicago with John McEntire (Tortoise) at his Soma Electronic Music Studios. Though McEntire's production is subtle, his unique aesthetics are definitely apparent on Man-Made as odd keyboards and sundry other inevitably electronic apparatuses bubble and bleep just below the surface of fuzzed-out guitars, chugging basslines, and layered vocals.

Soft. Flexible. Easy to grab.
Pros: Soft. Durable. Fits.
Cons: String durability.
This silicone material is soft to the touch and feels great. It is very flexible as well and I expect it to last a long time.
The design doesn’t interfere with the touchpad at all when trying to navigate and fast forward or fast reverse.
There are top and bottom bumps with extra material that create this gap underneath. It’s such a minor detail but makes grabbing the remote so easy versus having it completely flat. There are cut outs for charging port, IR, Apple logo, and what I think is the microphone.
It comes with a sling that gets attached to the cover. It’s an ok sling as over time it did fall apart for me. Granted we don’t really use the string much. You can hang it with the accessory it came with though. We just toss it around.
Overall, this is a great case for your remote.

Looks like a new remote
Needed something to cover and also protect the remote after dropping it so many times that it was chipped around edge. This looks great and the remote is easier to find and looks like brand new.

My fave ever
I bought this to travel for a summer camp and still use it, two years later! It is now my everyday jewelry container. The gold clasp has held up well and closes well. Very easy to use and structurally sound! I love the color and overall vibe of it too- very straight forward. I use the top portion for long earrings, so know if you do that, it can be finnicky, if you have fun or funky shaped earrings- so just know they may get caught but it's such an easy fix. I would say it is about the size of half of an American Girl doll. Maybe around the size of half a goose.
