Czech Up! Vol. 1: Chain of Fools is Vampisoul's first collection of gems from the vaults of the Czech Supraphon label, which has been continuously active since the early 1950s. While it has always been highly esteemed by music connoisseurs for it's excellent classical music releases, Supraphon's pop, rock, and jazz music catalog is less known internationally, although it's in fact even larger, comprising around 60,000 unique tracks. It also incorporates the complete back-catalog of Panton, another Czechoslovak label launched in 1967 that existed independently until the late 1990s. Czech Up! Vol. 1 highlights a collection of tracks that were originally released in Czechoslovakia between 1966 and 1978 on the Supraphon and Panton labels. Vampisoul's Inigo Munster chose several psychedelic freakbeat favorites, while Lukas Machata of the Funky Czech-In website, an expert on Czechoslovak music, selected a variety of grooving soul, jazz, and pop nuggets. Many of these tracks have never been reissued before. Machata, a longtime sound engineer and graphic designer, is also responsible for the carefully processed digital remasters, the retro-style cover artwork, and the liner notes. The compilation ranges from the fuzz-soul of Komety, the lush down tempo disco of Bezinky, the Afro-influenced pop of Eva Pilarova, and Jazz Cellula's fierce funk through the Gondolan Brothers' gypsy beat introducing Jitka Zelenkova, the frantic garage rock of Blue Effect, Flamengo, and George & Beatovens, to schlager music star Karel Gott's atypical R&B outing, Mahagon's hypnotic fusion jazz-funk, and a rousing Barbarella interpretation by incomparable idol Waldemar Matuska. Czech Up! Vol. 1 also includes a well-known classic by the Golden Kids supergroup of Vaclav Neckař, Marta Kubisova, and Helena Vondrakova, as well as accomplished vocal acrobat Karel Cernoch's rendition of Stevie Wonder's Uptight (Everything's Alright) and Michal Prokop's confidently soulful Framus Five combo. The collection digs out undeservedly neglected bijoux by the graceful Helena Bleharova with the Gustav Brom Orchestra, the almost avant-gardist Petr and Jan Spaleny from Apollobeat, ex-Matadors shouter Viktor Sodoma, Pavel Novak and his Vox group, trumpet virtuoso Vaclav Tyfa with Josef Vobruba's all-star jazz-rock ensemble Konstelace, Discobolos, Josef Laufer & Their Majesties, The Bluesmen, jazzman Karelka with the Ferdinand Havlik Orchestra, the funky Flamingo group featuring Petremec with Marie Lady Soul Rottrova, and psychedelic pop band Atlantis, fronted by siblings Hana and Petr Ulrych. Grooves you can dance to, songs you can chill to, breaks you can rap to... 25 tracks you simply must hear.

Great minimalist stand
Color: Gray, Color: Gray
Really like the minimalist design of this stand. Quality is top notch with steady material and refined edges.
Had to make minor modifications to prevent laptop touching metal edges when putting on with slight angel tilt.
Overall very satisfied with the product.

Simple upgrade that actually improves your setup
Color: Black
I didn’t expect much from a laptop stand, but this made a noticeable difference right away. It lifts the laptop to a much better eye level, which helps a lot with posture—especially if you’re working for a few hours at a time.
The build quality is solid. It’s aluminum, has a bit of weight to it, and doesn’t feel cheap. Once it’s on the desk, it stays in place. The rubber grips hold the laptop securely, and I haven’t had any slipping issues.
I’m using it with a MacBook Pro and it fits perfectly. There’s enough space underneath for airflow, and I’ve actually noticed the laptop runs a bit cooler compared to sitting flat on the desk.
Overall, it’s a simple product but very effective. One of those small upgrades that you end up appreciating every day.

I like it just fine. It’s good and it works for me.
Color: Black
It’s sturdy and I like the design. Seems pretty comparable to every other MacBook stand, but I chose this one for some reason and I’m happy with it. The height is not adjustable, so if you want that find another one.

Great computer stand
Color: Gray
These stands are great. We now have two of them. My wife suffers from Carple tunnel syndrome and these stands lesson the effects when typing. They are stable and hold the computer securely.

Weighty and well designed
Color: Gray
The Bestand Laptop Stand is a testament to quality and thoughtful design.
From an ergonomic perspective, this stand truly shines. It elevates my laptop screen to eye level, promoting better typing and viewing to reduce strain on my back and neck.
Another standout feature is the weighty and solid construction of this stand. It's crafted from a single piece of aluminum, which not only adds to the stand sturdiness but also gives it a sleek, modern look. The surface is spacious and accommodates laptops from 11 to 16 inches.
Both the weight of the stand and the silicone treads below and underneath the laptop, and on a metal lip in front, ensure that neither the stand nor the computer move around. The manufacturer claims a 66-pound load-bearing capacity for the stand, and I believe it. This thing is rugged.
The inclusion of a slot at the rear for cables to pass through is a small yet incredibly practical detail. It helps keep my workspace organized and tidy.
Three slots in the stand aid with heat dissipation and are yet another thoughtful design feature that cools my laptop during extended usage.
While the stand excels in many respect, one limitation is its lack of height adjustability. However, if height adjustability is important to you, you’ll find lots of other options for stands here on Amazon.
Bottom line: I like it. Chances are, you will too. The Bestand Laptop Stand is a nice blend of durability, functionality, ergonomic comfort, and attractiveness—all at a reasonable price.
