This is the third volume (and the fourth chronologically) in architect and historian Robert A. M. Stern's monumental series of documentary studies of New York City architecture and urbanism. New York 1880, New York 1900, and New York 1930 have comprehensively covered the architects and urban planners who defined New York from the end of the nineteenth century to the middle of the twentieth century.

The post-World War II era witnessed New York's reign as the unofficial but undisputed economic and artistic capital of the world. By the mid-1970s, the city had experienced a profound reversal, and both its economy and its reputation were at a historic nadir. The architectural history of the period offered an exceptionally abundant and varied mix of building styles and types, from the faltering traditionalism of the 1940s through the heyday of International Style modernism in the 1950s and 1960s to the incipient postmodernism of the 1970s.

Organized geographically, New York 1960 provides an encyclopedic survey of the city's postwar architecture as well as relating a coherent story about each of its diverse neighborhoods. Primary sources are emphasized, including the commentaries of the preeminent architecture critics of the day; the text is illustrated exclusively with a rich collection of period photographs.

Love it so much I got a second one
Size: Throw(51" x 63"), Color: Navy Blue, Size: Throw(51" x 63"), Color: Navy Blue
This blanket is perfect for snuggling. The throw size is perfect for napping or relaxing. It’s unbelievably soft. Faux rabbit fur is how I’d describe it. The color is perfect and consistent. It’s got great weight to it. It definitely has the power of nap inducement. My kids keep trying to steal it when they watch movies with me so I got a second because I’m not sharing! I’d get it in king size if they made it that big. Quality is amazing. It’s basically double layered with the top being the fluffy, bubble side and the other is a smooth yet still soft underside. It’s worth every penny and if you see it on a deal - DO NOT WAIT! Pull it out of the box and prepare to luxuriate beneath this deliciously soft and warm blanket. You DO need it!

Size: Twin(60" x 80"), Color: Tie-dye Coffee, Size: Twin(60" x 80"), Color: Tie-dye Coffee
This is a nice, thick faux fur blanket. I drape it over my recliner. Now I have a throne fit for Conan the Barbarian. Washed well. Feels soft and warm. This blanket could be used as a throne cover or a bedspread. Beautiful!

Soft!!!
Size: Throw(51" x 63"), Color: Light Grey
This blanket is very soft, but it’s not made the same on both sides. And it doesn’t fold easily because of that. But it is very soft and comfy. I hope it lasts after being washed cause many things lose their softness after being washed.
