Together, these five narratives present a comprehensive picture of military and political developments leading to the collapse of the Roman republic and the advent of the Roman Empire. The Gallic War is Caesar's own account of his two invasions of Britain and of conquering most of what is today France, Belgium, and Switzerland. The Civil War describes the conflict in the following year which, after the death of his chief rival, Pompey, and the defeat of Pompey's heirs and supporters, resulted in Caesar's emergence as the sole power in Rome. Accompanying Caesar's own commentaries are three short but essential additional works, known to us as the Alexandrian War, the African War, and the Spanish War. These were written by three unknown authors who were clearly eyewitnesses and probably Roman officers. Caesar's clear and direct prose provides a riveting depiction of ancient warfare and, not incidentally, a persuasive portrait for the Roman people (and for us) of Caesar himself as a brilliant, moderate, and effec-tive leader--an image that was key to his final success. Fantastic heat protection

I highly recommend this heat protecting spray because it has truly helped my hair become healthier. I blow dry and straighten my hair so much and I rarely use to protect it so it became quite damaged over time. I've been using this for roughly 3 weeks now and my hair is becoming healthier, shinier and growing so much better because it's not breaking or getting dried out. I like the smell of the spray - it's really nice. It's not sticky and doesn't leave any residue in my hair. And it doesn't leave my hair stiff like it's got hair spray in it. This spray stops my hair from going all frizzy including when I'm hot or it's humid. It also protects my hair colour too. I would recommend this.

Makes my hair so soft and healthy! BUT

I bought this obviously as a heat protectant for my hair. Most heat protectanta leave my hair with texture, like an almost sticky straw like feel to my hair. I thought that was normal. This one though leaves my hair silky, soft, smooth. It literally is so soft to run my fingers theough and takes down my flyaways/breakage from damaged hair. It has increased the quality of my hair so much it feels young and healthy again. HOWEVER, as much as I love this product , because of how soft it leaves my hair, my hair doesn't hold a curl when I use this. I wear beach waves most daysr and once I've used this my hair doesn't want to curl AT ALL. it feels equivalent to curling my hair in humidity. By the time I get to the second side, the first side has fallen out. It took me a while to realize it was how soft this product was leaving my hair that was the culprit. I've decided I don't care and am just figuring slightly different ways of styling my hair with less curl than I'm used to because I'm going to keep using this product for everything it does for me.
OH! Also I bought a bottle and after like a hundred pumps nothing ever came out so I exchanged for a new one and the second did the same thing, I figured they couldn't both be broken so I just kept pumping and pumping and pumping (literally way too many times) and it finally started spraying and has been working perfectly fine. So just keep pricing that pump for what feels like forever and it'll start working for you! I highly recommend this product
