Get started with coding now! The Love to Code Creative Coding Kit is a fun, friendly and new way to engage with coding.

Included are two full-color story-based activity books for learning to program: one for learning text-based programming in ChibiScript and the other for learning visual block-based programming in Microsoft Makecode.  The choice is yours!

Come check out what's inside!

Included in this kit are:

  • 1 Love to Code Volume 1 Powered Binder (uses 3 AA batteries, not included)
  • 2 Love to Code Books (both ChibiScript and MakeCode versions for you to choose from!)
  • 1 Chibi Chip premounted on a Clip
  • 1 programming cable
  • 36 white LED circuit stickers
  • 2 rolls of copper tape (16 ft/5m each)
  • 1 sheet of conductive fabric tape patches (64 patches)
  • 1 Love to Code circuit stencil
  • 1 binder pouch

The Creative Coding Kit reimagines the book through paper electronics: craft functional circuits directly into the pages of the included storybook, Love to Code Volume 1, while learning how to bring images to life through code. With LTC, everyone can fall in love with coding!

In Love to Code Volume 1, you’ll join Fern the Frog in learning the “sometimes hard, but fun” concepts in coding. You’ll master basics of electronics and coding with the help Fern’s friend, Sami the Seal.

You’ll start with turning on an LED, then learning how to make it blink. Your projects will become interactive after learning how to craft several types of paper circuit switches, while learning about variables and conditional statements. You’ll wrap up with learning how to create more aesthetically pleasing light-fading effects using loops and multithreading. There is also a comprehensive appendix on debugging which will help you develop the skills to evaluate, find, and fix problems in projects.

Recommended for ages 14+, not for children under 8 years old.

Check out our Love to Code webpage for video tutorials, downloads, and lots of other great resources for creative coding!

Love to Code Volume 1 is created by  Jie Qi (author), K-Fai Steele (illustrator), Andrew "bunnie" Huang (editor), Natalie Freed (technical editor).

My go-to sublimation paper for crafting
Size: 8.5"x11"
I've used several sublimation papers, and this one has worked really well for my crafting projects. The colors transfer bright and vibrant, and the images come out crisp with good detail when using the proper sublimation printer and ink. The paper feeds smoothly through my printer and feels like a good quality weight—not too thin and not overly thick. I've used it for tumblers, keychains, and other sublimation projects, and I've been happy with the results. I also appreciate getting 110 sheets in one pack because it lasts a while, especially when working on multiple projects at once. Overall, this is a reliable sublimation paper that gives consistent results and is great for crafters or small business owners.

My Go-To Sublimation Paper — Flawless Results Every Time
Size: 8.5"x11", Size: 8.5"x11"
This is hands down the best sublimation paper I’ve used and the only one I continue to buy. I get a perfect transfer every single time—no fracturing, no fading, and no uneven results. The paper dries fast, which makes my workflow so much smoother, especially when I’m producing items in batches. I use this regularly to make air fresheners and tote bags for my small business, and the color payoff is always vibrant and crisp. The transfer rate is excellent, and it works beautifully on light-colored, high-quality polyester and other sublimation-ready surfaces. If you’re a small business owner or crafter who values consistency, quality, and ease of use, this paper is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it and will continue to repurchase.

Best Sublimation Paper
Size: 8.5"x11"
I’ve been using A-Sub paper for my sublimation projects, and it is easily one of the best. The ink dries almost instantly once printed, so I don’t have to worry about smudging the design or getting those annoying "pizza wheel" marks from the printer rollers. The paper itself feels substantial and doesn't tear or curl easily. One of the biggest wins for me is that it never jams; it feeds through perfectly every time, saving me the frustration of wasting expensive ink and paper. When I go to press my designs, the ink releases almost completely, leaving very little behind on the paper and putting all that color onto the project. The final results look super professional, with colors that are vibrant and sharp rather than looking faded or dull. It has worked perfectly for everything I’ve tried so far, and if you want a reliable paper that gives you consistent, high-quality results, this is definitely the one to get.
