A GENEROUS SELECTION FROM ONE OF OUR GREATEST LIVING POETS

Henri Cole has been described as a "fiercely somber, yet exuberant poet" by Harold Bloom, who identifies him as the central poet of his generation. Cole's most recent poems have a daring sensitivity and imagistic beauty unlike anything on the American scene today. Whether they are exploring pleasure or pain, humor or sorrow, triumph or fear, they reach for an almost shocking intensity. Cole's fourth book, Middle Earth, awakened his audience to him as a poet now writing the poems of his career.

Pierce the Skin brings together sixty-six poems from the past twenty-five years, including work from Cole's early, closely observed, virtuosic books, long out of print, as well as his important more recent books, The Visible Man (1998), Middle Earth (2003), and Blackbird and Wolf (2007). The result is a collection reconsecrating Cole's central themes: the desire for connection, the contingencies of selfhood and human love, the dissolution of the body, the sublime renewal found in nature, and the distance of language from experience. "I don't want words to sever me from reality," Cole says, striving in Pierce the Skin to break the barrier even between word and skin. Maureen N. McLane wrote in The New York Times Book Review that Cole is a poet of "self-overcoming, lusting, loathing and beautiful force." This book will have a permanent place with other essential poems of our moment.

Light weight, not thick or bulky, versatile, and perfect!
Color: White, Size: Small
Throw out all the tank tops you own cause this is the only tank top you will need from here on out. It is absolutely perfect. Let’s just say they understood the assignment. It is form fitting and pairs perfectly with lightweight sweaters that might be slightly sheer or even the new crochet type of open sweaters that need a tank underneath. It is the perfect stretch, perfect material and dressy enough to be worn on its own and upgraded with some jewelry and some classy jeans and has just enough sheen to look dressy and not like you’re wearing a workout top. I love , love this and it is my go to tank!

Comfortable, flattering wardrobe staple
Color: White, Size: Small, Color: White, Size: Small
I’ve tried a lot of basics, and this ANRABESS sleeveless scoop neck tank exceeded expectations. The fabric feels soft and breathable with a nice amount of stretch, and it has a flattering fit without being too tight or restrictive. The scoop neckline is classic and versatile, making it easy to layer or wear on its own. Stitching and construction appear well made, and it held up nicely after washing with no shrinking or loss of shape. Great quality for a basic essential, and a piece I can see reaching for often. Highly recommend.

The length is perfect. Nice and long.
Color: Yellow, Size: X-Large
These tanks are the perfect length. I love how they fit and feel. I bought these in 5 colors. Although, if you want to keep them long, I suggest hanging them to dry. Putting them in the dryer shrinks the length about 2 inches.

Great Tank Top
Color: White, Size: Large
I love this top. It fits snug and is comfortable. The length is perfect. I especially like the wide shoulder straps which hides my bra straps. I’ll order more of these in different colors.
