Growing up in the hipster city of Oslo, at a time when skinny dudes with guitars ruled, Arthur vowed to make Moogs hip again by the time he was 30. Having accomplished that feat, the next goal is to funk Norway up with his self-titled debut EP. With styles ranging from funk bangers to Latin American psychedelia to more low-key ethereal moods, this collection of songs will make you think of legends like Todd Rundgren and Marcos Valle one moment, and contemporaries like James Blake and Thundercat the next. The lead single "Holiday Pay" celebrates the great Norwegian invention of "holiday pay" - your employer is required by law to pay you a certain percentage of last year's wages as holiday pay every summer.
