Vinyl LP pressing. Katatonia's third album Discouraged Ones was recorded in 1997 at the infamous Sunlight Studios by Fred Estby and Tomas Skogsberg (Entombed, Dismember) and issued the following year. The LP marked a new direction for the band with the epic compositions of old replaced with stripped down, compact structures to make room for new vocal harmonies courtesy of Jonas Renkse (who also played drums on the album), putting an end to the growling vocal style from prior releases and giving the band a broader appeal. Discouraged Ones is a pinnacle of dark, gothic rock/metal excellence combined with ethereal, trance-like intensity and a breakthrough album for Katatonia which undoubtedly planted the seeds, stylistically, of what the band evolved into and represent today. This gatefold, double vinyl LP edition includes a pair of bonus tracks, "Quiet World" (from the Discouraged Ones recording session) and "Scarlet Heavens" a rare track from 1994.

Like you have a choice
Format: Hardcover
If you’re buying this, there’s a good choice it’s an assigned text and you have zero choice in the matter. I can say, this one is nowhere near as well written as the Aspen Torts and Civ Pro books. I often read passages in this book and shake my head because it’s so confusing. Property is tough, this book makes it worse.
