The Porcine PGF2ALPHA (Prostaglandin F2Alpha) ELISA Kit measures PGF2Alpha in Porcine Serum, Plasma, Cell Culture Supernatant, Cell or Tissue Lysate. This kit is based on Competitive-ELISA detection method and takes 2h assay time. The microplate provided in this kit has been precoated with PGF2α. PGF2α in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of biotin-labeled PGF2α for sites on a pre-coated antibody specific to PGF2α. Free components are washed off. After adding HRP-Streptavidin Conjugate (SABC), biotin specifically binds with streptavidin to form immune complexes. Wash off unbound conjugate. Add TMB substrate solution. Then, TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that turned yellow after adding a stop solution. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader. Compare OD450 value of sample with the standard curve through curve fitting software to determine the concentration of PGF2α in the sample. The concentration of the target substance is inversely proportional to the OD450 value.

I have found that it is accurate with .3-.5 grams which is entirely reasonable for the price and for my use, pour over. In case it wasn't obvious, I would not recommend this for pulling shots of espresso as it is rather large and less accurate than you would want. I find it funny when people think they are going to get an ultra accurate, precise scale at this price point. If you want something accurate, you will have to pay more for it, but for the person who wants to step up their coffee game from using volumetric measurements, this is a great deal.
