The Hasselblad A12 Film Magazine (Black) is a modular medium format film back engineered for the Hasselblad V-system. It is designed for 120 roll film, producing 12 exposures in 6×6 cm format with precise frame spacing and consistent film flatness. The magazine incorporates a mechanical frame counter synchronized to film advance, ensuring accurate exposure indexing throughout the roll.
The A12 features a removable dark slide, allowing safe interchange between camera bodies and multiple film backs without exposing the film. Internal components are built around tight mechanical tolerances, supporting reliable film transport and repeatable registration. The black-finished version matches later V-system bodies and emphasizes system uniformity.
