This kit provides a two-color fluorescent staining method for animal cell viability assays. The kit utilizes two widely used fluorescent probes to reflect cell viability by detecting both intracellular esterase activity and plasma membrane integrity. The kit is suitable for use in fluorescence microscopy, laser confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and other fluorescence detection systems. The kit can be used on most eukaryotic mammalian cells, including some tissues with adherent nuclei, but is not suitable for bacteria and yeast. The method is faster, safer and more sensitive.
