Touring, commuting, bush bashing, and doodlin' about in unmatch style. The Evasion Trail 140 is for you. This bike is a product of Matt's (the owner of Crust) affinity for the mighty Postie Bike aka the Honda Trail 90 (or 110). In short, the Evasion Trail is exactly what it looks like, an Evasion rear end welded to a longer step thru-ish front end, making it more compatible with a flat, riser, alt, townie, or whatever-you-call-it kind of bar. The only major difference in standards is the Evasion Trail has Boost axle spacing in the rear AND the front. Matt did a whole write up about it on Dropped Chain. Check it, as well as a YouTube video about his sample Trail 140 out here: DROPPED CHAIN WRITE UP

The photos are of a size Large.

Build Notes:

When sizing the Evasion Trail, keep in mind this is a very flat/alt bar centric geometry. Some loose sizing suggestions are provided below, but it's always best to take some measurements of your own bike to see what would work best. Also, SIZE UP! (Unless you want a dropper post). Feel free to give us a call or email if you're still having troubles or not feeling confident about your size selection. SMALL: 5'0"- 5'5" MEDIUM: 5'5"-5'10" LARGE: 5'10"-6'3"

This bike can be built with a wide range of tyre sizes for all kinds of shreddin':

  • 27.5": Our pick of wheel size for the Evasion. 2.8" is the fattest you can fit, but you can easily drop smaller if you want something slicker and faster rolling. Plenty of tyre options, and smaller and more nimble than a 29" wheel.
  • 26": The Evasion was originally designed with a 26x3" tyre in mind. This a great wheel size if you want to have both the cushy off-road capabilities of a wide tyre and the nimble feeling of a smaller diamater wheel. The downside, there are next to no good quality tyres in this size. We can't even get any from our suppliers. We only recommend this wheel size if you plan to source tyres yourself, and are ok with the risk of not being able to find any in Australia.
  • 29": Max tyre size of 2". 29" makes sense for the Evasion if you already have a set of wheels and don't want to buy new ones.

Takes a mountain crank. Ideally 1x with a maximum ~40 tooth chainring. It is possible to set up 2x, but your derailleur, crank, and chainring options will be limited and we don't recommend it.

The rocker dropout's adjustability means it is Rohloff and single speed compatible. If you're looking for a dedicated single speed hub the Paul Word Boost hub is a good option and we can special order that for you.

Front brake is I.S. Mount and takes an adaptor to fit a caliper. The Rear brake is I.S. (Post Mount) as well, but you can bolt a caliper straight to the Rocker Dropout and clear a 160mm rotor. If you're struggling to find a brake setup, the Crust Palm Oil Brake Kit will help solve that problem.

Max Rotor Size: 203mm Front | 180mm Rear

Front and rear thru axles are included.

ED Coated to help protect it from the elements and inhibit internal corrosion. This doesn't mean you're free to ride it into the ocean though.

Takes a 30.0mm seat post clamp with a 27.2 seat post.

El calor que emite no es suficiente
Style: Usb
El calor que emite no es suficiente para enfrentar temperaturas de menos 38 F°. Salí en mi motocicleta y los probé y no sirvieron de nada. No lograron calentar mis manos. Obviamente usaba guantes y el nunca penetraron el material del guante. La temperatura era de 38 grados y llevaba protectores de puños para evitar el golpe del viento directamente.
