The Ascend 2-Dog Leads utilize two, gate operated, anodized aluminum carabiners that have full (360 degree) rotating swivels on them.  Anodized aluminum is considerably stronger (3X) than the typical zinc diecast bolt snaps found on most pet leashes while also being considerably lighter as well.  The anodization finish means that the color will not fade or rub off and the rotating swivel is a must as it will give your pet a full range of motion and decrease wear and tear on both the leash and collar.  All Ascend products get a distinctly individualized braided rope pattern as well that contains an interwoven reflective material  for easy identification in low light conditions.  Please note, the 2-way swivel on the upper portion of this lead is zinc diecast and NOT made from anodized aluminum.
