The Behringer Studio L combines effective studio control and communication with a capable 2-in/2-out USB audio interface. This convenient studio solution packs a monitor controller, a source selector, a monitor switcher, and talkback into a streamlined, desktop-friendly unit. The Studio L is centered around a VCA-controlled volume knob, which provides super-precise level control. This multifunction monitor controller accommodates two sets of studio monitors, and it includes four inputs with level controls, plus USB monitoring from your DAW. The talkback section includes an onboard microphone and a level control. You also get handy mono, mute, and dim functions. The Studio L's built-in audio interface operates at up to 192kHz for the best sound possible, and it includes two Midas mic preamps with +48V phantom power. Plus, dual headphone amplifiers make private monitoring a cinch. Zero-latency direct monitoring, a quick-access auxiliary input, and high-precision dual LED meters round out the Studio L's robust feature set.

Employs a high-precision VCA-controlled volume knob

The Studio L's monitoring section features a class-leading VCA-controlled volume knob, rather than a low-quality potentiometer. When you pass audio directly through a volume potentiometer, it can degrade your signal. The Studio L, on the other hand, employs a separate, high-precision amplifier to drive the volume change.

Not a Users Guide
Format: Paperback
Although many readers may find this book useful, it describes a particular approach to Powerpoint. It is not anything like a comprehensive users guide.

Just linear
Format: Paperback
I appreciate that it helps to organize the chaos of information, but I just used the template verbatim with my manager and it did not go very well. He said this linear approach does not work anymore with high-level corporate audiences. They want to cut right to the chase and start to dig into the deep details. This layout with simple images, even if you just pull away the map and anchor slides, makes the storytelling too much like a story, not giving enough credit to the speed at which certain audiences can and do process data on a slide. It was an interesting exercise and I still think this linear layout works in some cases. Just not if you are trying to communicate business case or other C-suite type of information.
