The D SERIES-SFRC8 Room Control Station is a SourceFlex listening station for wall mounting in a room, providing source selection and volume control from up to 8 audio sources. A numeric display shows the selected source. There are two line-level audio outputs on the rear of the unit, balanced and unbalanced, to feed an external power amplifier. The amplified power output can deliver up to 3.5 Watts RMS into an 8 ohm Speaker.

A rear-panel switch set during installation causes the balanced line-level output to produce either a fixed +4 dBu or a variable level adjusted by the front-panel control. The unbalanced output is 12 dB below the balanced output level.

Amplification is provided by a high-efficiency Class D power stage with audio filtering tailored for crisp, pleasant audio clarity. The high-efficiency Class D output stage produces negligible heat for all levels of expected voice or music modulation.

The D SERIES-SFRC8 is designed to be mounted in a wall box. Wiring is connected through a rear-panel detachable terminal block. The -SFRC8 is ideal for office distributed sound systems with background music and a paging source. Installation is simple, requiring only wiring and an external 8 ohm Speaker for most installations.

Started w/ audiobook, now I'm ordering the print too
Format: Paperback
This book is GREAT!! The integration of theory she uses to support her claims is masterful. I began listening to the audiobook, because it was cheaper & I go through a ton of counseling & psych books. I am a grad student in social work, and I'm also a therapy client trying to heal myself. I appreciate that this book targets "chronic shame" which as a central experience to a bunch of issues. The hundreds of books and articles I've researched seem like they were mostly ALL working back to this issue. In a psychology culture that is big on cognitive and chemical solutions to mental health, the relational approach that she emphasizes is critical to the healing process. I appreciate the research she uses from object relations, affect regulation, interpersonal, etc. I purchased the hard copy because 1. I can't underline/highlight an audiobook and 2. I want a copy of the references of theorists and study's that she draws from, because they are pure gold. All therapists need to understand the contents of this book! Unless you are perfectly fine offering band aid solutions. Clients and self-helpers beware. It's not triggering in terms of content, it is activating in the sense that she describes the felt experience of shame SO WELL. I could locate my own felt sense of shame which is, by default, unpleasant. Some stabilization and a decent therapeutic connection is probably necessary before cracking this book open. But that's why I love it. I needed to go deeper and get the core issues. And this book is like a map that guides you right to it.

One of the best books on shame out there
Format: Paperback
As a shame researcher and educator, I often refer to DeYoung's book because it is so full of resources and relational tools for clinicians and individuals relating to the neurobiology of shame. It is a very small book with A LOT of information. Many references to the shame research and suggestions for treating shame in clinical practice from a perspective of right brain relationship dynamics. Thank you Patricia!

Highly recommend.
Format: Paperback
One of the most helpful, lucid, and comprehensive books on shame I've encountered. This was required reading for graduate school and is now one of my most returned to, dog-eared, and referenced books. Can't recommend enough.
