The Formax CT-181i Colormax T4i & T6i Transfer Belt (150K) is a high-capacity replacement component designed to maximize color accuracy, consistency, and uptime in demanding color laser environments. Built to support lengthy print runs, this transfer belt delivers reliable belt-to-paper transfer, reducing color misregistration and banding while maintaining strong image fidelity across complex graphics and gradient fills. With a published yield of up to 150,000 pages, it’s an essential upgrade for studios, corporate print rooms, and busy production centers that demand predictable results, minimized maintenance, and lower total cost of ownership. If your workflow relies on vibrant marketing collateral, professional reports, or client-ready materials, this transfer belt ensures your color output stays sharp, aligns with your color calibration, and stands up to the rigors of high-volume printing.

  • High-capacity performance: Rated for up to 150,000 pages, this transfer belt minimizes replacement frequency, helping you maintain steady throughput and lower per-page costs during heavy print cycles. The extended yield is especially beneficial for departments with recurring campaigns, frequent color proofs, and long print runs where downtime translates to lost productivity.
  • Optimized for Formax CT-181i Colormax T4i & T6i: Specifically engineered for compatibility with the CT-181i Colormax T4i and T6i printer platforms, this belt preserves precise transfer geometry, color registration, and alignment across media types. Expect consistent color transfer across solid fills, gradients, and photo-quality images, with fewer calibration adjustments during routine maintenance.
  • Durable design for demanding environments: Constructed to withstand the heat and friction of high-speed color printing, the transfer belt resists wear and curl that can degrade image quality. Its robust construction helps minimize head wear, reduce the risk of belt tearing, and keep your printer running smoothly through back-to-back jobs and peak production windows.
  • Enhanced image fidelity and color stability: By delivering stable transfer across multiple color channels, this belt helps maintain faithful color reproduction, crisp text, and smooth tonal transitions. It supports vibrant marketing collateral, professional presentations, and archival-quality documents, ensuring that every page looks as intended by designers and brand guidelines.
  • Easy replacement and reliable uptime: Designed for straightforward installation with standard service procedures, the CT-181i transfer belt minimizes downtime during changeouts. A smooth belt swap helps keep printers in production with minimal disruption, so operators can meet tight deadlines without sacrificing output quality or consistency.

how to install Formax CT-181i Colormax T4i & T6i Transfer Belt

  • Power down the printer and unplug the power cord. Allow the printer to cool before handling internal components.
  • Open the service access panel following the manufacturer’s guidance for the CT-181i Colormax series to expose the transfer belt area.
  • Carefully remove the old transfer belt, taking care not to damage adjacent rollers or sensors. Note belt orientation for correct reassembly.
  • Inspect surrounding components for wear or debris and wipe clean as needed. Remove any lint or toner buildup that could affect belt performance.
  • Align the new transfer belt with the belt path and seating guides, ensuring it sits flush against rollers and engages sensors correctly.
  • Secure the belt according to the service documentation, reclose the access panel, reconnect the power, and restart the printer.
  • Run a short calibration or alignment job to confirm correct belt tracking and color registration. Verify print quality on a test page before resuming full production.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What does the 150K rating mean for my workflow? The 150,000-page yield indicates the belt’s expected lifespan under standard test conditions for color laser output. Real-world results depend on print volume, color usage, media type, and maintenance practices. Planning around this yield helps optimize downtime and replacement scheduling to maintain consistent color quality across batches.

Q: Is this transfer belt compatible with all CT-181i Colormax configurations? This belt is specifically designed for Formax CT-181i Colormax T4i and T6i configurations. For other CT-181i variants or different Colormax modules, verify compatibility with the manufacturer’s service documentation or approved parts list before installation to avoid fitment or performance issues.

Q: How can I tell if the transfer belt needs replacement? Indicators include increasing color misregistration, banding, faint ghost images, or repeated misfeeds during long production runs. If a calibration page shows inconsistent results after routine maintenance, or if the belt has reached its rated page yield, replacement is advised to preserve print quality and prevent damage to other components.

Q: Are replacement belts easy for non-technical users? Yes. The CT-181i Colormax transfer belt is designed for straightforward replacement with standard service procedures. Following the manufacturer’s instructions and the steps outlined in the installation guide will minimize downtime and help maintain consistent output even for operators with moderate service experience.

Tuffy Desert Phrog vs Lola
Color: Green Leaping Phrog, Color: Green Leaping Phrog
Just a little background about my dog. Lola is a 5 year old corgi-terrier mix with jaws of steal. Lesser stuffed toys have met death in under 5 minutes. Tennis balls last less than a day. Rope toys that do not have frayed ends might possibly last a week (frayed ends never stand a chance). The only toys that she has not managed to destroy are her Kong, a Kong bone, and a racquet ball. I figured I would document the life span of Phrog (Tuffy Scale: 9) before making my final judgement on it’s durability. Day 1 - Phrog Arrives! Lola was very excited about the arrival of Phrog and immediately went into destruction mode. Phrog did sustain a little damage before we were able to bribe her to drop Phrog and get her understand that he was more fun to play fetch with than to mutilate. The white you see in the picture is not stuffing, but the second layer of defense for the toy. The fact that my living room is not full of stuffing and I didn’t have to pry a squeaker out of my dog’s mouth, I’d say Phrog wins the Day 1 challenge. Day 9 - Phrog has sustained a little more damage, but not anything life threatening. His side wound is a little bit larger and one of his eyes is half ripped off. For safety reasons, I am going to finish removing the damaged eye and some loose thread from various places. Other than that, Phrog is still holding up and holds top toy spot. I have also found him very useful for dealing with anxiety; the squeaker can often distract her from her stressors and Phrog takes the abuse of her frustrations. Day 16 - Phrog is starting to show signs of mortal wounds. Lola has made it through the thicker layer around his arm and I can see the stuffing. It is only a matter of time before gets all the way through. Day 60 - Phrog still lives!!! I have done some surgery on Phrog to reinforce the fabric around his arms, but Franken-Phrog is still the favorite of all of the toys. She will even get brave enough to rescue Phrog from the evil vacuum when he is kidnapped and tortured. I am thinking about purchasing Phrog II for the inevitable day when Phrog goes off to the pet toyland in the sky, but for now, there is only one Phrog for Lola.

Long lasting play toy!
Color: Multicolor
Tuffy toys in general are great and they are a pretty good deal on Amazon. They are not indestructible, and if your dogs use them as chew toys they will eventually break through. My dogs have had this Armadillo since Christmas (and they do chew on it some) and the only thing missing is an ear. They like to play tug-of-war with it a lot. This is a bigger toy, but even my forty pound dog plays with it. I would not recommend this toy for dogs smaller than Border Collie size. You can make these Tuffy toys last longer if you don't allow your dogs to chew them--when your dogs starts chewing on non-chew toys trade them for a chew toy and when you catch your dog chewing on a chew-approved toy reward them for chewing. Eventually your dog will catch on and realize that if they want to chew there are certain toys that are allowed for that. In addition to being a great play toy this is a pretty cute toy too!

Not Tuff
Color: Black Yellow Phrog, Color: Black Yellow Phrog
Absolutely terrible and not “tuff” at all. My chocolate lab had this thing destroyed in less than two hours. I would not recommend these for the price.

Cute but Not Durable
Color: 2PK Green Leaping Phrog
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cute but Not Durable Super cute toy—my dogs loved it right away! Unfortunately, they chewed the head off within a few hours. I ordered a second one because they were so into it, but the same thing happened again. I won’t be ordering a third, but they still play with their two headless frogs. So while it’s not the most durable, it definitely kept them entertained!
