This pedal combines the tone-sweetening magic of the Echoplex® Preamp with a three-band EQ and midrange frequency adjustment so that you can dial in the perfect bass tone to punch up a solo, boost your signal in a live mix, sculpt more edge into the sound of a passive bass, and more.The MXR Thump Bass Preamp is a tone-sweetening, signal-boosting, and altogether groove-enhancing machine. This pedal was conceived when the MXR design team and Dunlop's in-house bass players discovered that the Echoplex® Preamp's sonic secret sauce made for just as delectable a pairing with bass as it does with guitar. Using that circuitry as a foundation, the MXR team added a simple yet potent tone-shaping interface so that you can dial in the perfect bass sound for the stage and the studio.
Crafting the sound you need is easy. The Echoplex Preamp circuit conditions your signal with a carefully balanced EQ profile, and this pedal's tone controls let you take it from there. The Treble and Bass knobs cut or boost frequencies at 8 kHz and 40 Hz respectively, while the Mid knob cuts or boosts the midrange as set by the Frequency knob, from 250 Hz to 1 kHz. This range of frequencies was selected to give players maximum flexibility and minimal fuss when refining their bass signal.

ASICS shoes never disappoint

My husband has run in Asics for years. He usually gets another style but decided to try the Excite because they were on sale. The material in the uppers is very breathable which is nice on hot days. They also have a very stable, thick sole which is perfect for running on asphalt. Generally we don’t walk in our running shoes but on a recent vacation he only had these sneakers so spent a lot of time walking around and they remained incredibly comfy! The Excite seem a bit more narrow in the toe box but otherwise run true to size. We would order them again!

Take my advice, upsize half size bigger

I need to start suggesting everyone that owns Gel-Kayano, Gel-Cumulus and/or GT-1000 14, that if for example you wear US men's size 11 with these, order 11.5 in Gel-Excite 11. When I did a search using AI for getting suggestions on the fitment and sizing of the Gel-Excite's 11, I got 'order half size up' in all results, I was a little skeptical but I follow the suggestions and I'm glad I did because no way that size 11 would've fit me, 11.5 fit me perfectly as the Gel-Kayano 32 in size 11. I've just tried these one, so far I feel them comfortable, I walked for 5K steps and haven't had any discomfort with my flat feet and the issue I have with my left knee patellar tendon. I stood up for 30 minutes while I waited for my car at the carwash, no issues. Time will tell about durability, but I can say the looks and comfort are pretty good for such a budget shoe.
