Vega$ is an American crime drama series starring Robert Urich that aired on ABC from September 20, 1978 to June 3, 1981, with the pilot episode airing April 25, 1978. Vega$ was produced by Aaron Spelling and was created by Michael Mann. The series was filmed in its entirety on location in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Urich stars as handsome, fun loving, private detective Dan Tanna, a Vietnam vet, who works for a variety of clients, making the city safe for residents and tourists alike. He lives in an apartment in the back of the Desert Inn Resort and is on retainer to owner Phil “Slick” Roth (Tony Curtis) to keep crime out of his hotels. Roth is a self-made millionaire, a hands-on businessman, who owns and manages both the Desert Inn Resort and the Maxim Hotel Casino.

Tanna drives to his detective assignments around the streets of Las Vegas in his vintage red 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible. While Dan makes a point of not accepting divorce cases or working as a bodyguard, being in Las Vegas he is occasionally hired to work for well-known celebrity clients who have issues regarding their personal safety and need help solving issues or threats against them.

Dan is aided in his work by his smart and sexy secretary Bea Travis (Phyllis Davis), a close personal friend.  Nerdy Bobby "Binzer" Borso (Bart Braverman) assists with detective leg work. Tanna's contact on the Las Vegas Metropolitan police force is Lt. Dave Nelson (Greg Morris). While he is a no-nonsense officer, Nelson often backs Dan up in criminal case investigations, and vice versa. While he is never one to breach police protocol, he sometimes secretly assists Tanna in criminal cases on which his police force is prohibited from officially working. Early episodes also featured Judy Landers as Dan’s office assistant Angie, a sweet, but  somewhat scatterbrained part-time chorus girl who takes messages, occasionally getting case work and names mixed up and Bella Archer (Naomi Stevens) is a sergeant in the Las Vegas Metro police department who also assists both Tanna and Nelson in criminal-case research.

Some guest stars on the series: Chuck Connors, Wayne Newton, Shelley Winters, Eve Arden, Kim Basinger, Kim Cattrall, Christopher George, Dennis Cole, Pernell Roberts, Melanie Griffith, Lorne Greene, Victor Buono, Lisa Hartman, George Takei, Gary Lockwood, Jill St. John, Leslie Nielsen, Cesar Romero, Alex Trebek, Dawn Wells, Tori Spelling, Lauren Tewes, Robert Reed, Maureen McCormick, Robert Mandan, Heather Menzies.

Episode highlights to note:

Robert Reed and Maureen McCormick portrayed a father and daughter in a season-one episode, "The Pageant." The duo previously starred together in The Brady Bunch (1969–74), in which Reed portrayed family patriarch Mike, with McCormick as eldest daughter Marcia. In a later episode, Reed reappeared as Phillip Roth's brother.

The episode that featured Chuck Connors was filmed at the historic Daydream Ranch.

Robert Mandan and Robert Urich had worked together in the situation comedy Soap. Mandan played Chester Tate, Jessica Tate's husband and Urich as Jessica's lover, Peter the tennis pro, who was murdered by Chester.

Heather Menzies was Robert Urich's real-life wife, and they were married in 1975.

This 19 DVD set contains the entire series, including pilot episode, plus an exclusive Rewatch Classic TV bonus: the third season premiere episode from Charlie’s Angels, “Angels in Vegas.” This two-hour season opener featured guest star Dean Martin as Tropicana Casino owner Frank Howell who calls Bosley and the Angels (David Doyle, Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, Cheryl Ladd) to Las Vegas to investigate some suspicious deaths that he believes are part of a plot to gaslight him. Robert Urich does a brief cross-over cameo as his Vegas character Dan Tanna at the end of the episode. This episode aired on September 13, 1978, the week before the Vegas series premiere.

Great product
I really like this sunscreen! It feels lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. The SPF 55 gives great protection, and it works well for everyday use. Great value for the price!

Delivers what it promises
I’m a fair skinned person who burns and freckles easily and in my 40’s. I also love being outside. I have worn spf on my face (and usually my hands) basically every day since I was 13 and because of that people always say I don’t look my age. Back then, only a 4 or 8 was available in face moisturizers, but I have always worn the highest that is recommended and usually face moisturizers are behind in meeting the recommendations so I have usually worn a full on sunscreen under my makeup. As the recommendations get higher it has been harder to find something that doesn’t look pasty, smell bad or interfere with makeup. I was using Eucerin spf 30 and Cera Ve spf 30 but I have wanted to increase spf to 50 because that is what is recommended now. I tried the Cera Ve spf 50 and was disappointed by how tacky it is and pasty it looks. I don’t even like wearing it alone to the beach because it’s so chalky white and sticky. Neutrogena healthy defense is alright but it has a scent and some chemicals that are not so good. It also is a pretty small bottle (1.7 oz) when you use it everyday on face and hands. But THIS product has blown me away with its affordability and quality. It IS sheer. Easily blends in and disappears quickly into skin. It’s completely odorless. It’s not tacky or greasy—you feel moisturized but not sticky. It performs under foundation even better than the Cera Ve 30. Now, this doesn’t have the extra ceramides and vitamins that does so I’ll still be using that when I feel extra dry like in winter, or I might mix the two moisturizers, but this Solimo reef safe sunscreen will definitely be my daily face and hand sunscreen in the spring, summer and early fall. These are the days I go straight from work to the garden or the beach. I can quickly reapply over my makeup before I leave the house again feel fully protected while I’m out.

I believe equal to name brand rhyming with NitroGina
I believe it is equal to the name brand mentioned on the front side of the tube. It is 55 SPF Sun Protection Factor so it offers strong UV A and UV B protection which are the 2 ranges of sun rays that do the skin damage and burning. It is an easily absorbed lotion that when rubbed goes into the skin and is not visible. It feels good after being rubbed in in that it feels dry and not overly greasy or with no shine and sheen. If you put on a shirt over your skin with lotion it will appear on the inside of a dark shirt but it will wash out right away when that shirt is washed. It is a good product and offers burn protection to me in some clear-sky strong sun uses. Reapply after entering the pool or after an hour (all sunscreen labels say reapply after 80 minutes which I believe is per recommendations of the federal FDA or some medical studies). I reapply often and I still get tanned but I do not want to burn.

Super impressed by this!
Love this sunscreen and will be reordering it. It’s sheer, light, invisible, gives me the protection I need for my middle aged skin and I can swear my complexion has gotten better since I started using it. I’m super impressed how it’s comparable to more expensive brands in quality without the high price tag. It’s made me start looking into other skin products I can purchase from the Amazon brand.

How is this SO good?
I'm a sunscreen enthusiast. I wear sunscreen every day, and I know how hard it is to find one that is actually pleasant to use. It goes on like a white paste but it quickly blends in to the skin and becomes invisible. There is NO white cast after you rub it in. The initial white color makes it really easy to see where you have applied it. The lotion is very moisturizing but it's also fairly lightweight feeling, and isn't greasy. My skin is usually on the dry side. The smell is nice and neutral, some people might say that it has a bit of a "sunscreen" smell. But the smell is pretty faint and it doesn't linger. I find it to be pleasant, personally. Additionally, I have used this in the water and I find it to offer excellent water resistance even though it doesn't form a heavy-feeling layer on the skin. This is particularly impressive to me. This sunscreen will definitely be a go-to for beach days. It's great for face and body! The one caveat is that it tastes terrible if you get it in your mouth. So I definitely do not recommend eating it, lol. You might have this issue if you're particularly sweaty and the sweat drips down your face. In my experience many sunscreens do this, so I don't consider it to be a big deal. I'd recommend this for anyone looking for cost-effective and lightweight sun protection. It's great on face and body.
