Expand the angle of view of your S35 lens when using it on a full-frame or VistsaVision camera with this Marlin 1.6x Expander for PL Lens to PL-Mount Camera from DZOFilm. This durable aluminum expander is designed for your S35 PL-mount lens for use on a PL-mount camera without sacrificing the S35 angle of view. The expander magnifies the image by 1.6x.
The Marlin is compatible with most S35 lenses and features an easy, quick flange back adjustment ring that allows you to adjust the image further without removing the lens. Front and rear caps and a detachable steel support base are included.

Magnifies the Image Circle by 1.6x
The extender converts Super35 Pictor Zoom lenses to cover full frame or VistaVision sensors. It multiplies the focal length by 1.6x with only 1.5 stops of light loss.
Retains Optical Performance and Operability
The Marlin maintains superb image quality without decreasing resolution, and it enables the use of S35 lenses to be compatible with FF and VistaVision cameras to facilitate the use of different lenses for more possibilities.
Quick Flange Back Adjustment
Minor flange back adjustment is achieved through a back adjustment ring; no need to use shims (excluding PL-PL and PL-LPL versions). To achieve the best image performance, the FBD can be quickly adjusted without removing the lens and camera.
Solid and Sturdy
The expander includes a detachable supporting base and stainless steel mount.
Broad Compatibility
The Marlin is compatible with a wide variety of lenses on the market. The distance from the flange plane of the lens to the rear should be less than PL (19.64mm). The Marlin Adapter Clearance Check tool can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website to check the suitability.

I'd recommend it, especially at this give-away-price
As a sociologist, I was always interested as to how the USSR could morph what Marx considered communalism networked by a shallow, weak, centralized and supposedly representative government into what I would considered an extremest left-wing oligarchy (most fashionably consider it right-wing despite how it was sold and supported by the people that allowed it- so much for cultural relativity and in context social analysis!). If Stalin actually wrote these pieces (or more commonly among dictators farmed it out to a frightened academic ghostwriter) then it could help explain why Marx disassociated himself with much of the Marxist movement toward the end of his life. It is a logically written and well informed book - worth the read if you are into the sociology of politics, philosophy of politics or the history of politics. I'd recommend it, especially at this give-away-price!

Good book, mediocre edition
Format: Paperback
This review pertains to the quality of this edition's editing and construction, rather than the content of the book itself. Rest assured that the text itself remains a valuable piece of introductory theory.
The book is fairly well constructed, with paper and a binding that is sturdy enough for general use. However, my copy had several manufacturing errors including folded over pages being stuck into the binding. In addition, there are several misspelled words throughout the text and some obvious typos (missing letters, incorrect capitalization and punctuation) that did not majorly impact the readability of the text, but were, nevertheless, annoying.
Considering the low price of this edition the manufacturing errors are hardly a big deal, but I would have preferred the text itself to have been treated with more care and respect while being prepared for printing.

thoughts on Xi Jinping
Format: Kindle
This book was highly organized and very easy to comprehend. I have formed a much better understanding of Xi Jinping and where he is taking China. Although I feel he has been thoughtful and successful in some areas such as improving China economically, I don’t feel his autocratic approach will succeed in the long run when more Chinese people will demand to be heard. Just as Mao thought didn’t outlast Mao, Xi thought will not outlast Xi.

The Book I Meant to Write
Format: Kindle
While doing my master’s degree in international relations, I completed a master’s thesis on Xi Jinping Thought (which, like the authors, I shortened to Xi Thought). I considered writing a book on the subject since there wasn’t a lot in English, but I no longer feel the need. This book fills every gap that was present. Well written and informative, it is the quintessential English source in Xi Thought.
The authors put Xi’s political thought in a consultative Leninist paradigm and define that context clearly. Each chapter elucidates a little more and puts Xi thought front and center in China’s current transformation. I consider it a must read.

The writers use published work of Xi and Chinese government official statements to describe the true nature of this most important Chinese leader who will have profound impact on the total world.Like it or not it is essential for all of us to really what he is preparing his nation for the vision he has.Americans are naive and totally ignorant.
