Pylontech External Cable Kit for Battery to Inverter Integration

Purpose-Built Connectivity for Pylontech Energy Storage Systems

The Pylontech Cable Kit provides a complete wiring solution for connecting a Pylontech lithium battery or battery bank to an inverter charger. Engineered for 48V energy storage systems, this kit ensures reliable power delivery and stable communication between components, reducing installation complexity and potential points of failure.

Each kit includes two 4 AWG power cables (approx. 25 mm²) with a constant current rating of 100 A and a peak capacity of 120 A, making it suitable for high-demand applications. The cables are terminated with quick-connect plugs on one end and 3/8"-16 (approx. M10) stud lug terminals on the other, designed to accept heavy-duty lugs up to 4/0 AWG (approx. 95 mm²). This dual termination style supports both Pylontech's proprietary battery interface and standard inverter connections, offering flexibility during installation.

Two RJ45 communication cables are also supplied: a 3-metre cable with blue marking for linking the battery to an inverter or hub (pins 1–3: null, pins 4–8: pin-to-pin), and a 3-metre cable with silver marking for parallel connection between master batteries (pins 1–8: pin-to-pin). These data cables maintain signal integrity over distances up to 3 metres, ensuring consistent battery management system (BMS) communication.

*Note typical de-rating factors apply; maximum current capacity may be influenced by installation conditions such as ambient temperature, cable bundling, and ventilation.

Key Features

  • 100 A constant current rating (120 A peak) for demanding inverter loads
  • 4 AWG (approx. 25 mm²) power cables with orange positive and black negative identification
  • Quick-connect and 3/8"-16 (approx. M10) lug terminals for versatile connection options
  • Two 3-metre RJ45 data cables for inverter/hub and battery-to-battery communication
  • Pre-configured pinouts eliminate guesswork and reduce wiring errors
  • External cable length under 3 metres optimised for typical rack or wall-mount setups

Reliable Power Delivery for Off-Grid and Backup Systems

Unlike generic cable assemblies, this kit is specifically designed for Pylontech's US5000-B, US3000-C, and UP2500 battery models. Using the correct cable kit helps maintain system warranty compliance and ensures that voltage drop is minimised across the connection. The 4 AWG conductor size balances flexibility with low resistance, supporting efficient energy transfer in 48V solar battery systems.

For installers, the colour-coded power cables and labelled RJ45 leads simplify commissioning. The quick-connect ends lock securely into Pylontech battery terminals, while the lug ends provide a robust interface with most inverter DC inputs. This reduces the need for custom fabrication and speeds up deployment in residential, commercial, or mobile energy storage projects.

Compatibility and Sizing

One cable kit is required per Pylontech US5000-B battery, per three US3000-C batteries, or per two UP2500 batteries. This modular approach allows system designers to scale storage capacity while maintaining a tidy, professional installation. The external cable length of less than 3 metres is ideal for installations where the battery and inverter are in close proximity, such as in a garage, utility room, or equipment rack.

Built for Australian Conditions

With a maximum DC voltage rating of 120 V, this cable kit is suitable for 48V nominal systems commonly used in off-grid and hybrid solar setups across Australia. The robust insulation and quality connectors resist corrosion and mechanical wear, contributing to long-term reliability in varied environments.

This will work but prep is key!
I have an older RV that the gelcoat has dulled and is oxidized, but otherwise in good shape. I have buffed and polished in the past only for it to last a short time. I was looking up different products to try and this one has such good reviews, I thought I would give it a try. I bought the kit with the Poliglow and the Poliprep, with the scrubber and the microfiber glove. I started with the poliprep and it did a great job of gettting the streaks and black marks off. You spend a lot of time scrubbing to your likeness because anything that is still on the gelcoat when you apply the poliglow, it will be locked in there. The Poliglow is like a clearcoat that goes over the gelcoat. You have to build up layers and here are some of the tips and tricks I figured out that really helped my finished RV look great. First, make sure the applicator stays damp, this keeps the poliglow more uniform across the glove. Also, stick it in a zip lock bag when not using, you do not want it to dry out while you are using it. I found out that applying this in direct sunlight in warm temps, is the best method. This allows the poliglow to dry really fast. The first 3 or 4 layers will look streaky and dull but this is ok and as you build up the layers, the shine will come back. I found if you do this when its cooler, the layers do not dry as quick and you will get some permanent streaking or running. I had to remove a section I did in the evening because I noticed this. When in direct sunlight, this gave me the best results with no streaking or running. It dries fast and you can keep working. Like it says, do not do big sections at a time, keep it to small what you can reach sections and build those up and move on. As far as how much to buy? I have a 40 ft toy hauler and I got to kits and I had just enough to finish the whole thing minus the nose cap. I have Durabak on the nose cap, so I dont need to worry about that. I ended up buying one more bottle of the poliglow to have for my maintenance coats. Overall, I am pleased with how my 10 year old RV looks and other than some of the decals show age, it looks new again. If I were to buy a new RV, I would put this on right away and preserve the whole RV including the decals. Its not too expensive and its a lot of work, especially the prep, but it does end up with great results.

Excellent shine
Excellent line of products. Looking at the picture, you can see what the camper looked like before the Poli Glow. To the left of the window is the after Poli Glow. It takes some elbow grease (follow instructions well) but well worth it.

Camping enthusiast approved
One bottle covered my 20ft camping trailer 4 coats and with a little remaining for future touch ups. It definitely increases the gloss. I'm glad I didn't waste my time with wax. This is like an easy wipe on clear coat. I will report back in the future for longevity.

poli glow shine
its works great .when applying more coats the shinier it gets i used on several old boats because the florida sun bakes the jell coat right off and no wax made can withstand salty seas , so why not ,, when you apply use the mit and don't gob it on .. nice and easy and recoat in five minutes when you get to about five coats you will be amazed.looks like new .. just a tip also after about a year or so and you want to re apply,, go to your local hardware store and get a gallon of high strength or non diluted floor stripper and put in spray bottle and use to remove old poli-glow also great for cleaning stubborn stains [ i use full strength ] just spray on and brush with a scrub brush and rinse ..and let dry and re apply ,, its also works on car faded bumpers ,, also never use harsh cleaners it will cause streaking the best thing i have found for cleaning the boat after poli glow was put on is car wash from auto store with wax or not it seems not to hurt the shine . it reminds me of mop an glow,,.
