Thanks to the GroupRide function, you can always stay in contact with your cycling group, receive accident notifications, compare yourself with other participants and win awards. You can also share information on danger spots with the community and receive tips on potholes or other obstacles. With the integrated Garmin Pay function, you can now also make contactless payments with your Edge bike computer.

1040 vs 1050
If you prefer to ride for days on end and don't want to worry about the power supply of your Garmin device, the Edge 1040 is the best choice. However, if your focus is on a perfect display and a maximum battery life of 20 hours is more than enough for you, then the Edge 1050 is your ideal companion. The choice is yours.

Map manager
Don't feel like updating the map via Garmin Express on your PC? No problem - with the map manager, maps can be easily updated and synchronized via WLAN.

Multi-frequency
High-precision route recording thanks to multi-frequency reception of global satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO) even in narrow mountain valleys or urban canyons.

Garmin Pay
The Edge 1050 is the first bike computer with Garmin Pay function. Simply make contactless payments and enjoy the freedom of riding without cash.

Stamina residual energy
Stamina tracks your performance during cycling training and shows you the energy available to you during your physical activity. This allows you to optimize your energy consumption during your activity and avoid premature exhaustion.

Power Guide
The Power Guide function helps you to find the optimum power input for your route and its elevation profile in order to create a performance strategy for your route. To support you even better, the Power Guide now also takes your stamina and wind conditions into account.

Cycling ability
Find out your strengths as a cyclist and compare them with the requirements of a route so that you can estimate what to expect.

Performance analysis
Check your training status, training load and load focus, altitude and heat acclimatization as well as fluid and food intake.

Recovery time
After each training session, the recovery time tells you when you are ready for your next activity.

Training planning
Easy training plan synchronization with Garmin Connect, TrainingPeaks or TrainerRoad with reminders to catch up on missed workouts. Alternatively, you will receive individual training suggestions directly on the Edge every day.

Settings via app

Connected features
Smartphone music control, smart notifications, weather information, LiveTrack and customization options via Connect IQ.

Bike Alarm and Find my Edge
Be alerted if your bike is moved while you are away and the option to find the last position of your Edge if it is lost in a fall.

Varia compatibility
Pair your Varia Radar for safer cycling. This allows you to detect vehicles from a distance of up to 140 meters and draw attention to yourself with the bright rear light.

InReach compatible
Stay in touch with your friends even without mobile phone reception. Share your position or send an SOS emergency call via the Iridium satellite network to the IERCC emergency call center, which is manned 24/7.

Integration of electronic switching groups
Until now, electronic groupsets from SRAM could only display data such as battery status, gears or gear ratio. With the introduction of the new SRAM RED AXS, it is now possible to operate data pages and settings of the Edge via the shift levers. This has already been possible with SHIMANO Di2 groupsets for several years.

One of the best books on shame out there
Format: Paperback
As a shame researcher and educator, I often refer to DeYoung's book because it is so full of resources and relational tools for clinicians and individuals relating to the neurobiology of shame. It is a very small book with A LOT of information. Many references to the shame research and suggestions for treating shame in clinical practice from a perspective of right brain relationship dynamics. Thank you Patricia!

Highly recommend.
Format: Paperback
One of the most helpful, lucid, and comprehensive books on shame I've encountered. This was required reading for graduate school and is now one of my most returned to, dog-eared, and referenced books. Can't recommend enough.

Thorough, clear, enlightening, and inspiring - not often achieved in academia
Format: Paperback
This is an extraordinarily well-researched manual. It presents for the reader a Catholic-Christian perspective on psychology/mental health which is faithful to the magisterial teachings of the Church and the Christian tradition. So much good will come to the clinician/professor/pastoral leader/student/generally-concerned-citizen who engages thoughtfully with the CCMMP. More to the point, those whom they serve will reap the real harvest. This could be one of the most important books written in this century. Yes. Bold claim. Bolder still and brighter yet the vision of the human person elucidated in this volume. "The glory of God is a human person fully alive" (St. Irenaeus of Lyon) The CCMMP sheds light for the reader to catch that vision of God's image (the human person) in a world so dimmed by confusion. Read this book. Or pick put some chapters that are of particular interest to you and go through those. You'll be glad you did.

Towards a Christian Psychology or Cure of Souls
Format: Paperback
Mental health professionals will benefit from this comprehensive manual that has been extensively researched, as it provides a way forward in the direct application of the Christian tradition in a therapeutic context. This book restores the authority within psychology back to the spiritual dimension rather than the empiricism and rationalism that is the legacy of the Enlightenment project and consequently of mainstream psychology. An important matter not addressed in this study are the arguably deleterious impacts of the Second Vatican Council (1962–1965) on the hearts and minds of the faithful, not to mention the crisis in religious vocations to which it has led. Therefore, references to the doctrinal teachings of Vatican II (and the contemporary church) should be considered with discernment so that a clear distinction can be maintained between traditional Catholicism and some of its modern aberrations (Coomaraswamy, 2006). Notwithstanding, the book has many strengths that will benefit therapists who are interested in Christian psychology, or the “science of the soul” found within all of the world’s religions. It is by adhering to one of the divinely revealed spiritual traditions that we can gain access to a liberating discernment—“Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32)—which is essential for any integral therapy and healing. -Spiritual Psychology and Counseling, Vol. 7, No. 2 (2022)

tour de force work, written in the Catholic intellectual tradition
Format: Hardcover
What a masterpiece. I would recommend this book as required reading for Catholics in the helping professions--counseling, social work, clinical psychology, etc. I'm a grad student in Catholic counseling at a non-Catholic institution, and this has been a go-to text in my classes. So grateful to the professors and contributors at Divine Mercy University for their many, many years and sacrifices putting this treatise together. It is going to bear much fruit in the years to come. Thank you!!
