Pink Line Goby – Amblygobius decussatus

Overview:
The Pink Line Goby is a small, colorful sand-dwelling fish known for its subtle pink stripes running along a sandy or brownish body. Highly active, it sifts through sand to find food, helping to keep the substrate clean while displaying natural foraging behavior. Its peaceful nature and compact size make it an excellent choice for reef and community aquariums.

Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific, commonly found in shallow sandy areas near reefs, often forming loose associations with small groups.

Feeding:
Omnivorous – feeds on tiny invertebrates, detritus, and micro-crustaceans. In captivity, it accepts frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality sinking pellets. Feeding multiple times per day is ideal to mimic natural behavior.

Tank Mates:
Peaceful and reef-safe, compatible with small, non-aggressive fish. Avoid large or aggressive species that may outcompete it for food.

Aggression:
Low. May show minor site fidelity in sandy areas but otherwise non-territorial.

Experience Level:
Intermediate. Requires a tank with at least a 2–3 inch sandy substrate for natural sand-sifting behavior and foraging.

Water Parameters:

  • Temperature: 74–78°F (23–26°C)
  • pH: 8.1–8.4
  • Salinity: 1.020–1.025
  • Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons

The Pink Line Goby (Amblygobius decussatus) is a peaceful, active, and visually appealing sand-dweller, perfect for adding color, movement, and natural substrate interaction to reef aquariums.

I’m so happy Tissot came out with this movement!
Beautiful classic beauty! I love watches with internal components that far outperform the price. A certified chronometer for 1100$? Unheard of. From a Watchmaker like Tissot? I couldn’t buy it fast enough! It has great accuracy and a very durable time tested movement. I can’t wait to own this watch for the rest of my life! Tissot, just keep putting this movement in more watches and I’ll keep buying them. (Seamaster or Submariner competitor please!)

It’s different colors in different light
Very high quality. It’s not a Rolex knock off , it’s a date just “style” just like the diver watches. They are not Rolex knock offs but in the same style. To be honest, I owned a blue date just brand new from the dealer and sold it because I could not read it ! I’m able to read this with its Roman numerals as opposed to the Rolex Baton style markets . It’s COSC CERTIFIED! I am just impressed with the blue version I own . Dial is beautiful.
