Gage Tree - Jefferson's Gage

Jefferson's Gage was raised by Judge Buel in Albany, New York. Early flowering dessert gage rated "excellent" by the RHS, with compact growth and heavy crops of juicy yellow-green fruit. Jefferson's Gage is self sterile; pollinators for it include (the less appetising) Victoria plum. Like their close but less tasty (and botanically indistinguishable) relations, plums, gages have lovely blossom which attracts a range of pollinators in spring, including bees.

Supplied on SJA rootstock, which will give you a mature tree of around 3.5m.

All our gage trees, including Jefferson's Gage, are bare root, so they are only available between November and April. During lifting season, there will be a delay between placing the order and dispatching due to pressure of orders, which are dealt with in date sequence, and the weather. Orders taken from June-October will be confirmed in late October/ early November after a nursery stock take, for dispatch from November.
