Enjoy the lovely crunch of our Honey Sesame Bars. Densely packed with toasted delicious sesame seeds these are some of our favorite and most addictive snacks.

Sesame seed candy is a confection of sesame seeds and sugar or honey pressed into a bar or ball. It is popular from the Middle East through South Asia to East Asia. The texture may vary from chewy to crisp. It may also be called sesame (seed) candy/bar/crunch; sesame seed cake may refer to the confection or to a leavened cake or cookie incorporating sesame.

In Greece and Cyprus, sesame seed candy is called pasteli and is generally a flat, oblong bar made with honey and often including nuts. Various kinds of sesame candy are found in Indian cuisine. Sesame candy is also traditional in northern Iran and is called Peshtezik in Mazandarani and Persian. Peshtezik is usually a thin flat layer of sesame seeds with sugar or honey and often includes walnuts.

Peshtezik is served on special Persian holidays such as Nowruz and Yalda. In the Middle East (Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria), it is called simsimiyah or simismiyeh and is either made as a thin crunchy layer or a slightly thicker chewy candy.

In Indonesia, sesame seed candy is known as Ting-Ting Wijen, while the version with peanuts is called Ting-Ting Kacang. These types of candy are influenced by the Chinese. In Poland, sesame seed candy is known as sezamki and usually consists only of sesame seeds in thin layers of honey without any nuts.

It's tough!
This chew toy has held up well. Yes, the squeaker did succumb eventually. Yes, my dog was able to eventually chew pieces from it. However, it has lasted longer than any other chew toy we have purchased other than the Nylabone type. I even bought several for family members who have dogs.

A bit heavy, so mind the sizing. Good though.
My dog is a relentless chewing Jock. He's 11 lbs of Chi X and runs and chews until he's exhausted. I got the 6" for him and it's a bit heavy. He already unraveled and ate the string tape, so I braided and knotted it. He likes it when I can get him to chase it. I'd get a 4" if I were to do it again. It's a great well made product that really let's him get a good chew on.

Pup’s new favorite chew toy!
My son let one of my pups have a corn cob, which my dog enjoyed immensely. However, son got scolded as these can be very dangerous to dogs, and I disappointed my pup by taking it away. I went to Amazon to see if, by chance, a dog toy existed that was a corn cob. And there we found this- the new favorite of MANY chew toys for my medium size aggressive chewers. I bought two, one for each. They enjoyed “tug-a-war” due to the handy rope end. It squeaks. It’s strong and well made. It’s by far their favorite chew toy. I did store them in the fridge prior to giving them and pretended to eat them to make the pups think they were “real”. The package says they are dog toothbrushes, so a good benefit there as well. I’m sure we will be getting these regularly.

Quality
I have a 5 lbs puppy. Within 5 minutes of giving him this toy he had pieces of the rope chewed off and in his mouth. Needless to say, into the garbage it went. Disappointed
