Overview
Homogenizer for 8 samples in 50mL tubes. Includes starter kit of beads, scoop and tubes. CE certified. Extra-powerful Bullet Blender 50DX+ homogenizes better and faster. Processes up to 4 tough tissue samples or up to 8 soft samples in parallel. Each sample can be up to 3.5 g of tissue or 3.5 ml. of pelleted cells combined with buffer up to 20 ml. Use HIPPO™ brand 50 mL self standing tube with plug-seal cap. Machine comes with BSP-50B bead sample pack which has samples (20 ml) of 7 types of beads, bead spoons, and a sample bag of 50 mL tubes.
The Bullet Blender 50 DX+ enables you to homogenize, disrupt, or lyse up to 8 large tissue or cell culture samples (up to 3 mg solid weight, 10-15 ml total volume) at a time in standard 50 ml polypropylene screw-cap tubes. Load the samples into the tubes, place them in the Bullet Blender, set the time and speed and you're ready! The "bullets" in the instrument vigorously strike all of the tubes and homogenize your sample in minutes.
The Bullet Blender 50 DX also incorporates air cooling to dissipate heat. The air cooling draws circulates ambient air into the Bullet Blender, maintaining samples at ambient temperature. (Tip: Place the Bullet Blender 50 DX in a cold room to keep samples near 4°C!)
Consistent Results
The Bullet Blender 50 DX allows homogenization of large samples (up to 3.5 g) and prepares up to 8 samples in just minutes. All of the samples are automatically homogenized in the same manner to minimize sample-to-sample variability.
No Cross-Contamination or Sample Loss
There are no probes or blades to cause cross contamination or sample loss, which also means there are no parts to clean between runs. The sample tubes are kept closed and self-contained during homogenization.
Samples Stay Cool
The instrument uses very little power due to the unique, patented design, so there is very little heat build up in the instrument or inside the sample tubes, and a cooling fan helps keep samples very close to ambient temperature. It uses a DC motor to agitate the individual tubes. The Bullet Blender is designed for reliability and durability, with few moving parts and a very low rate of motor wear.
Easy To Use
Simply place your sample, beads and buffer in standard tubes, and load the tubes into the Bullet Blender. Tune the extent of disruption by adjusting the run time and speed. Afterwards, place the sample tubes in a centrifuge to separate the lysate. No special holders are needed. There are no clamp plates nor locking rings to fiddle with.

FAQ
What is the RPM range of the Bullet Blender 50 DX?
Next Advance does not disclose the RPM specifications for the Bullet Blenders. The reason they do this is because the mechanism of action for the Bullet Blenders (striking) is very different from the mechanism of action for other laboratory bead mill homogenizers, which almost exclusively act via shaking. Direct comparisons with different bead mills from different manufacturers based on RPMs, including using protocols from other instruments based on RPM, are not possible.
The best we can tell you is that the speed setting "1" is a speed which would be good for a moderately vigorous mixing, and the maximum speed is the most power you will get from the instrument. The specific RPMs which correspond to the numbers on the dial are not documented by Next Advance.
