A truly special Georgian ring dating to around 1800, rich in symbolism and wonderfully rare in design.
Created from minimum 9 carat gold, the band is decorated with a continuous design of the twelve zodiac signs encircling the entire ring. An extraordinary and seldom encountered motif in Georgian jewellery. Each symbol was carefully applied as a raised design between a boarder on top and bottom of the band.
Now over 200 years old, the ring has been lovingly worn through generations. The once crisp details have softened into a beautifully smooth and tactile surface, giving the piece a warmth and character that only time can create. It feels comforting and substantial on the hand, a quiet reminder of its long journey through history.
A rare survivor from the Georgian era. Intimate, symbolic, and deeply evocative. This is a ring for those who appreciate jewellery not only for its beauty, but for the stories it carries.
