Heavy duty European mortice strongly sprung euro profile cylinder nightlatch case with grade 304 stainless steel 22mm wide radius forend and striking plate, with stainless steel latch bolt which is suitable for domestic and commercial projects; this lock is most commonly used as a front entrance door lock which functions like the Yale type but instead of being visible it is hidden in the door and is also the lock that you need for electronic entry door systems.
The cylinder nightlatch has a backset (distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the lever handle) of 60mm. The latch bolt is withdrawn by a euro profile cylinder (from either side of your door) or a half-pair lever handle (mounted on the inside of your door). When the door closes the nightlatch automatically locks via the "anti-thrust" bolt which in effect changes the latch into a deadbolt for added security.
This nightlatch is CE Marked and conforms to European standard EN12209:2003, Corrosion Resistance Grade 3, Classification 3-6-7-B-1-3-4D/B-A-2 and conforms to the dimensional characteristics of DIN 18251 and comes with a 15 year mechanical guarantee.
Certifire approved (CF5423) for use on 30 and 60 minute fire rated doors, when used in conjunction with the correct intumescent pack.
