This Colnago Super Oro dates from around 1980 and is a second generation model with rear brake cable guides soldered to the top tube and short rear dropouts.
The Colnago Super Oro has always been popular for its frame geometry, as evidenced by this excellent example. But what makes it even more desirable is the gold plating on the Columbus fork, chainstays and head tube eyelets: Rarer, more fascinating and a great contrast to the Saronni red paint.
Since this is a 1980s model, this Mexico has been equipped with only the highest quality parts from the right era, such as a complete Campagnolo (Super) Record groupset - only the headset and bottom bracket are even higher quality! Many of the parts are pantographed and milled.
Whether to add to a collection or to take to the track, a Colnago Oro is what everyone has always dreamed of!
