In Celtic legends, the cross is a traditional symbol of faith and spirituality decorated with ornate Celtic knotwork carvings and imagery of bible stories and inscriptions celebrated in this beautiful sterling silver hook earrings. Peter Stone Jewelry has created the Celtic Elegance Collection to honor the rich Celtic Heritage in an elegant and modern interpretation. Celtic cross is believed to have its roots in ancient pagan beliefs. The stone circle at Calanais, on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland, is formed in a rough circle, with an even-armed cross within it. This is depicted to be a sun symbol to the creators of the stone circle, which became a sacred shape of the Celts.

Frostfire is a must buy for the littles this winter. I read through it once myself and absolutely loved the story and especially the illustrations. A very classic, winter whimsy. The second time I read Frostfire was with my 3 and 5 year olds. They also enjoyed it and had quite the debate over whether the snow dragon would be real. The 3 year old won! Looking forward to this book's release and coming across some frostfire in the real world this winter. Thanks to Penguin Random House Canada, Tundra Books and NetGalley for the eARC!

atmospheric illustrations and a story about sharing imagination

I received this book as part of the LibraryThing EarlyReviewer program. The illustrations are photographs of collage, with some digital editing to add snow effects. It's a bit of an atmospheric "kids go for a walk in the snow" book, a la The Snowy Day, but for older kids. I liked how there was a subtle background story about children trying to navigate having slightly conflicting imaginative stories. It can be a challenge for a kid to learn how to do this when playing with others. The illustrations of the dragon especially were a wonderful surprise. My 8 year old loved the book and is happy that we get to keep it.

I was immediately drawn to this book by the bewitching title and exquisite artwork. We follow two sisters, Celeste and Miriam, on their garden adventure in the magical snow. This story was the perfect length, with enchanting drawings and an adorable plot with charming sisters. Such a joy to read I will definitely be looking forward to reading this book with my daughter. I could see it being a winter favorite.
