Книга досліджує рефлексії сучасної художньої спільноти на події в Україні під час Революції Гідності та війни з Росією, розкриваючи потенціал мистецтва у вирішенні суспільних конфліктів.

У книзі зібрано більше п’ятидесяти інтерв’ю з визначними художниками/-цями, кураторами/-ками й мистецтвознавцями/-вицями, які розповідають про свою громадянську та художню реакцію на сучасні події в Україні. Разом із авторкою вони розмірковують над трансформаційною силою мистецтва у вирішенні суспільних конфліктів та ролі митця в цьому процесі. Книга існує на різних рівнях прочитання: на рівні художнього образу, мистецької рефлексії та документальних свідчень. Тим, хто прагне пізнати та зрозуміти сучасну Україну, вона пропонує скористатись найбезпосереднішою та універсальною мовою — художніми образами.

До книги увійшло понад 100 репродукцій візуальних робіт, наданих художниками/-цями, українськими музеями і приватними галереями.

'Художники/-ці, які фіксують надрив сьогодення, залишають артефакти для майбутніх культурних археологів/-инь.
