Sturdy, heavy, wide enough that it shouldn't get blown over by the wind. The only problem was that several of the screws on each table couldn't be installed because the holes for attaching the base to the table top didn't line up properly and would not go in. The tops on each table still held together and as long as you don't lift from the top you can't tell. Other than that, they're super awesome end tables.
