I have never encountered a cap in such a large size. It is produced in a beautiful blue wool. It is clean but one side has a significant amount of moth damage. A majority of the gray piping around the top panel is eaten away. The insignia is machine woven and hand applied. This includes an off white over blue eagle and a cockade over blue as well. The interior is fully lined in blue rayon. As mentioned, it is size stamped 62 and it is also stamped with an RBNr and the date 1943. A cool cap!
