First Impressions is the debut zine series by Tokyo-based photographer Deniz Demir @denizdemir.photos.

The series brings together Deniz’s first impressions of places he visits for the very first time, alongside a collection of street photographs and portraits made during his travels.

One of the most distinctive aspects of this zine is its inventive layout. Images are often layered on top of one another, while other spreads arrange photographs so seamlessly that they feel like a single image unfolding across the page.

Vol. 2 focuses on Deniz’s recent journey through Hong Kong, featuring photographs captured with a Fujifilm X100IV and Sony A7IV.
