Ook is de HX891BT/E voorzien van een ingebouwde 66-kanaals GPS-ontvanger, ATIS en DSC klasse D. De HX-891BT/E beschikt over bluetooth voor handsfree gebruik inclusief VOX control. De marifoon is compatibel met veel bluetooth headsets van andere merken. Ingebouwde GPS-ontvanger Bepaal snel en nauwkeurig je positie met de ingebouwde 66-kanaals GPS-ontvanger. De HX891BT/E kan ook worden gebruikt voor eenvoudige navigatie op het water. Het is mogelijk om tot 20 routes van tevoren te programmeren, en de marifoon heeft een geheugen voor 200 waypoints. Klasse D DSC De HX891BT/E is voorzien van DSC klasse D. Dit maakt het mogelijk om een noodoproep uit te zenden met je locatie die bepaald is met de GPS ontvanger. De HX-891BT/E heeft een eenvoudig te bedienen pictogram-/menusysteem. Dit is de meest intuitieve handheld op de markt. DSC-oproepen, positiedeling, waypoint- en routenavigatie en navigatie naar DSC-noodoproepen: het kan allemaal met slechts een paar eenvoudige stappen. Watergeactiveerde noodstroboscooplamp Als de VHF in het water valt, wordt er automatisch een noodstoboscoop geactiveerd, zelfs als het apparaat is uitgeschakeld. ATIS en MMSI Voordat je de marifoon kan gaan gebruiken op het water moet de ATIS-code en eventueel de MMSI- code ingesteld worden. Let op! Deze kunnen maar één keer ingesteld worden.
