UGG werd in 1978 opgericht in Californië en bouwde zijn naam op het Classic-silhouet: een eenvoudige schapenvachtlaars die comfort boven alles stelt. Telfar is het New Yorkse label van Telfar Clemens, opgericht in 2005 met als kerngedachte dat mode voor iedereen toegankelijk moet zijn. Waar UGG comfort als uitgangspunt neemt, brengt Telfar daar een uitgesproken visuele taal bij. De samenwerking combineert die twee logica's in één stuk dat herkenbaar is van beide kanten.

De UGG x Telfar Logo Mini Crinkle is gebaseerd op de Classic Mini, maar dan uitgevoerd in een crinkle patent leather bovenstuk dat de zachte sheepskin-associatie van UGG vervangt door een glanzende, gerimpelde lakstructuur. De kleur is een intens terracotta-oranje, aangeduid als Syrup. Het grote Telfar-logo is als opgelegd overlay op de schacht aangebracht in toon-op-toon wit schapenbont, net als de naadafwerkingen in UGGpure upcycled wool. Shearliner aan de binnenkant, Treadlite by UGG-zool aan de onderkant. Instapmodel zonder veters of rits.

De boot heeft de lage schacht van de Classic Mini en past comfortabel aan de voet met een licht ruime pasvorm. De lakleren buitenkant vraagt om bescherming bij regen; de binnenkant van schapenbont maakt de schoen warm genoeg voor de koudere maanden.

Draag de UGG x Telfar Logo Mini Crinkle in syrup met een strakke zwarte broek of legging zodat de laars zijn volle volume toont. Het oranje en het glanzende leer zijn statement genoeg om de rest van de outfit naar de achtergrond te laten treden.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

This book wasn't bad, but wasn't my cup of tea. It's highly disappointing because the storyline is so original. There is no real conflict or resolution, so the entire thing feels flat. As a lover of omegaverse books, I know there is a ton of variety out there, and ov is really up to the author. But this one is weird. Omegas have multiple scent glands all over their bodies and go into week long heats every month. Alphas have knots in the middle of their shaft instead of the base, and the knot doesn't always swell, no explanation of when or why. It doesn't engage at all when the mouth is in play. I also didn't enjoy the author's writing style. Each paragraph is only 1 or 2 sentences long, and the entire book reads very stacato. The conversations are stiff and unnatural feeling. Everything is very repetitive, both in word choice and in thought. The same thing is repeated 3 or 4 times over a single page, multiple times over. I ended up doing so much skimming. The first 50% of the book is all slow burn, and the last 50% is almost straight mediocre spice. This wouldn't have been all bad if the grammar and spelling errors didn't start at the exact same time. Tongue is repeatedly misspelled in the middle of the spice.
