The artist and title appear as: 'Prince And The Revolution‎ - Purple Rain' on the front and back cover; 'Prince & The Revolution‎ - Music From Purple Rain' on the spines; 'Prince And The Revolution‎ - Music From The Motion Picture Purple Rain' on the CD face and on the back cover along with the film credits. Tracks 1 & 4 were recorded at The Warehouse in the summer of '83 Tracks 2, 3 & 6 were recorded at Sunset Sound, all overdubs as well Tracks 7 to 9 recorded live at 1st Avenue in the summer of '83 & Record Plant, New York.
