Deze glanzende grijze braadpan van 4.6 L van Kela is gemaakt van gegoten ijzer. Dit gietijzer is volledig afgekoeld en vervolgens voorzien van een grijze emaille laag aan de buitenzijde en een witte emaille laag aan de binnenzijde van de pan. Hierdoor is de pan goed beschermd tegen roest en aanbakken. Een groot voordeel van deze pan is zijn goede warmtegeleiding en zijn vermogen om deze warmte lang vast te houden. De pan wordt daarnaast geleverd met een bijpassend deksel.

Een gietijzeren pan kan heel ver verhit worden en is dan ook geschikt voor alle warmtebronnen, inclusief inductie en de oven tot wel 300 °C. Na gebruik dien je de pan af te laten koelen. Zodra deze is afgekoeld, kun je de pan reinigen met zeep en water en deze vervolgens goed uitspoelen en afdrogen. Let op dat je deze pan moet voorbehandelen voor het eerste gebruik. Dit kan heel eenvoudig door de pan uit te spoelen met water en deze goed af te drogen. Daarna kun je de pan insmeren met een plantaardige olie en de overtollige olie eraf wrijven met keukenpapier. De pan is nu klaar voor gebruik!

Pros: Can be used with one hand. I bought this to have after surgery that left me without use of one arm for a few months. The light blinks when you need to charge it. Only needs a 2-3 min charge for enough juice to open a can. Cons: IT QUIT CUTTING CORRECTLY AFTER 4 MONTHS. I now have to use both hands to hold it in place to get it to latch on to the can. It also requires a few rotations around the top to cut through the seal, resulting in METAL SHARDS! The metal shards are super sharp and almost invisible. I stabbed myself with one enough to draw blood. This is dangerous as the metal could fall into the food when pouring from the can.
