Maak kennis met Effi en Furon, de Breinhelden van de Breinheldenplaneet. Deze helden leren je leerlingen hoe ze hun Breinkrachten kunnen versterken. Bijvoorbeeld de kracht om hun aandacht bij een taak te houden, de kracht om een reactie even uit te stellen of de kracht om met veranderingen om te gaan.

 

Volgehouden aandacht, flexibiliteit, doelgericht doorzetten, emotieregulatie, plannen en metacognitie zijn een aantal executieve functies ofwel regelfuncties van ons brein. Het zijn de functies die we nodig hebben om ons gedrag te sturen. Executieve functies zijn bepalend voor je (school)succes. Goed dus om daar expliciet aandacht aan te besteden. Breinhelden is een programma van twintig weken, waarmee je in je groep doordacht gaat werken aan executieve functies. De executieve functies zijn vertaald naar tien Breinkrachten. Bij iedere kracht vind je speelse activiteiten en tips om die functie te versterken. De auteurs geven je daarnaast inzicht in de theorie achter executieve functies.

 

Breinhelden is er ook voor groep 1-2, groep 5-6 en groep 7-8. Het maakt niet uit of je leerlingen al bekend zijn met Breinhelden, daar wordt in het boek rekening mee gehouden. Door het Breinheldenprogramma in heel de basisschool in te zetten, waarborg je een doorgaande lijn op het gebied van executieve-functieversterking.

 

Naast de handleidingen zijn er ook hulpmiddelen beschikbaar waaronder het Breinhelden stickerpakket en Breinhelden posters voor in de klas.

Cute and comfortable!

These are cute and surprisingly comfortable! My arches feel supported and the soles don’t feel as block-like as other platform style sandals! Things to note: The footbed liner is not made of suede and is a little slippery. It’s like a neoprene liner which was unexpected for an Ugg shoe. Also, I only intend to wear these sandals as slides (a la Birkenstocks) so the “adjustable” Velcro strap over the top part of the foot seems useless. It doesn’t snug the top down at all, functionally speaking it is only to wear around the back of the ankle. Maybe this matters to someone thinking they could tighten the top down a bit. The ankle strap is comfortable but could be a bit longer. Overall they are a cute option to the platform Birks that are very uncomfortable imo. Love the options to order half sizes. I’m usually a 6 in Ugg boots but ordered my regular shoe size 6.5 and they fit well. My heel would be at the very end of my sandal if I sized down. True to size. Keeping and will order in another color!
