De baas wordt ondertussen beheerd

In King of Monster Island kruipen spelers in de huid van gigantische Monsters die samen moeten vechten om een titanische Baas uit te schakelen voordat hij de bouw van een interdimensionale poort kan voltooien.
Bij elke beurt gooien de spelers met de dobbelstenen om rond te meppen, zichzelf te genezen, energie te winnen om kaarten te kopen, over het eiland te bewegen, steun te zoeken of een beetje roem te vergaren. De baas wordt ondertussen beheerd door het spel. Afhankelijk van het resultaat van de gegooide dobbelstenen in de vulkaan beweegt hij, activeert hij zijn Minions en valt hij nabijgelegen Monsters aan. Zijn doel? Zijn Minions in staat stellen de Pylonen op te richten die nodig zijn om de poort te bouwen.

Om te winnen moeten de spelers de Boss verslaan. Als de Baas erin slaagt zijn portaal te activeren of een van de Monsters van de spelers uitschakelt, is de Aarde voorgoed verloren!
