Vermentino di Sardegna DOC “Ràfia” komt uit de kalkstenen heuvels van het Usini-gebied: bodems die goed zijn blootgesteld aan de zon en rijk zijn aan kostbare voedingsstoffen. Om deze wijn te produceren komen traditie en innovatie samen: Rafia is het symbool van de verbinding tussen plant, land en boer. De trossen worden met de hand geoogst en in kratten onderworpen aan lichte druk, gevolgd door fermentatie in ongebrande eikenhouten vaten gedurende ongeveer 10 dagen. Daarna gaan men over tot batonnage sur lies, of beter gezegd het mengen van de edele droesem in de wijn, in staal. De wijn krijgt body, volume, duurzaamheid en karakter. De verfijning wordt vervolgens voltooid met een rustperiode van ongeveer 1 maand op de fles, waardoor een unieke wijn tot leven komt, met een hartige en intense smaak.
