Campert onderzocht toen de rol van het waarnemen in relatie tot het medium fotografie: ‘Mijn behoefte en zoeken naar een zo objectief en wetenschappelijk mogelijke uiteenzetting van hoe waarneming werkt is een reactie op hoe er met het begrip ‘waarheid’ wordt omgegaan.’

De kern van mijn onderzoek is dat waarneming, herinnering en verbeelding nauw verweven zijn en een samenspel aangaan bij het opnemen en verwerken van de wereld om ons heen.

Fotografie lijkt in het vastleggen van de werkelijkheid een houvast te geven. Maar fotografie faalt als absolute houder van herinneringen. Een foto is niet meer dan een plat vlak met vlakken en kleuren, het is een schilfer. Bij het bekijken van een foto maken verschillende aspecten dat er weer een nieuwe werkelijkheid ontstaat. Fotografie is een onderdeel van het samenspel van waarneming, herinnering en verbeelding.

Camperts zogenaamde grondhouding of creatief uitgangspunt is een formule die luidt:

waarneming + herinnering = (nieuwe) werkelijkheid (=verbeelding)

Campert: ‘Deze formule ontwikkel ik verder bij het maken van foto’s en installaties. Ik wil de formule zelf laten zien en zo in feite het proces van de verbeelding, of zelfs de verbeelding zelf. Ik breng verschillende elementen samen en construeer dit op een zorgvuldige manier in foto’s en installaties.’

I had down pillows, and foam pillows, and other synthetic pillows etc and some were ok and others were not. The pillows are well made and feel like expensive down filled pillows but softer. I am VERY satisfied with the pillows. I just wish I would have found these pillows years ago.
