All Purpose

Eureka: Speciaal ontwerp voor uitstekende resultaten met zowel espresso als filterkoffie. Aanbevolen voor alle koffiesoorten, met name licht en medium-licht gebrand, en ontworpen om de "clarity" en "brightness" (beide helderheid in het Nerderlands maar wel degelijk anders) van de smaak volledig tot zijn recht te laten komen.

VP: We hebben deze schijf uitvoerig getest en hij zit bij 2 collega's thuis in de molen. De resultaten zijn duidelijk minder body dan de Italian Taste maar inderdaad veel hogere helderheid in de espresso. Voor filterkoffie vallen deze schijven een beetje in "the middle of the pack" met onze meerdere blinde smaaktesten. Niet slecht maar ook niet fantastisch.



Italian Taste

Eureka: Aanbevolen voor espresso-extractie, vooral van middelmatig en donker gebrande koffie.

VP: Dit is de standaard Eureka schijf wat ons betreft. Dit type schijf zit in elke Eureka molen tenzij anders aangegeven (Zero All Purpose 65 bijvoorbeeld) en is wat ons betreft goed voor de hele range van licht tot donker als je maar van espresso met een lekkere body houd. Uiteraard ook goed voor cappuccino's :)


Deeltjesverdeling

De smaak die je koffie krijgt hangt van ontzettend veel factoren af. In deze grafiek focussen we ons specifiek op de deeltjesverdeling van de gemalen koffie.

Espresso Specialty Black (blauw)
Pronounced peak of the fines grants good body while providing an excellent clarity emphasising even the most delicate flavours.
Italian Espresso Taste Black (groen)
Wide particle distribution with a moderate concentration of super fines, resulting in an excellent body and good flavours clarity.
All Purpose Black (Espresso) (rood)
Two extremely pronounced peaks providing an excellent body and balance, as well as a very good clarity.
High Performance Black (Paars)
Despite the extremely high grind capacity (up to 3.5 g/s), the curve highlights a good particle size distribution in line with Eureka standards, as the peak is over 10% volume density.

Cheap, screw holes don't line up, screen is to short, and bars take WD-40 and a mallet
This has been my worst purchase on Amazon ever. DO NOT BUY. My first issue was that bars #4 and #5 would not go together, I ended up buying WD-40 and a mallet and that kind of got them together. Now I went to but the screen on (which is almost see thought) and the screen is to short. I can't attached the bottom bar to the tall bar. The screw hole is in the wrong spot, so the screen is not secure. No amount of pulling on the screen will make it grown .25" longer. Since I can't get the bars secure the walls are not steady and fall over easily. The feet did go together very nice. I can't return them according to Amazons policy. I bought 2 sets. I'm not going to try to build the other set I have. And I can't take apart the first set, since the bars are so tightly together. Also the polls have rust on them.

They use cheap tarp like cloth that you might find on a tent, so it is not suitable as a teleconferencing background without blur applied. The legs are flimsy and lack rubber feet, so it will scratch floors. The tubing is flimsy and very hard to move and adjust. This is only good if you are setting it up somewhere like a gym or a garage.
